No problems with the analog gauges on my 2012 RT Ltd (purchased in May 12). Also I do not rely on the fuel gauge but go by mileage driven to judge when to fill up.
I've experienced the gas smell after shutting down following a fill up. I used to fill the tank as full as possible but stopped doing that after reading posts about the no-no's of overfilling. Now I'm careful not to overfill...no more gas smell.

don't overfill the tank and you shouldn't have a gas smell. And if you want a more accurate readng disconnect the gauges. I was on my 3rd gauge and even though it wasn't bouncing I was tired of the low fuel light coming on and I only needed 4 gallons to fill it. Now instead of the light coming on at 120 miles I'm usually around 150.

No big deal
The fuel gauge on mine bounces around when above the half way mark then it settles down. Always set one of your trip meters after fueling and expect the fuel gauge to bounce a bit above half full. If you wait till the little red fuel light shows itself.....find a station 'FAST'!!
Welcome aboard and enjoy your ride.

Thanks Chief. Remember, I still went through initiation, and it was in Bahrain of all places in '89 with the Iron Men In Wooden Ships (sweepers). I was just happy to give my divisions someone who had their back (as long as they were right). No politics here. Also, respect level from the troops was sky high. My motto down my COC was "respect is not a breach of discipline". FWAFS shipmate!

USS Racine LST-1191, back in the 70s we hauled Jarheads around the Pacific, running into small islands so they could run around in the jungle. Welcome to the board and enjoy your new ride.
