I was googling for an answer for you & found this
It doesn't answer your question, but page down to almost the bottom of the article & you should get a really good laugh, I know I did. Make sure to read the article explaining what ticket was issued & about the "Emergency Flashers!" Hopefully someone with the knowledge of your query will chime in soon, til then, you can at least have a good chuckle.

A friend of mine was a long haul trucker. He got cited in MA for not having white sheets on his tractor bunk. There was a law that said, only plain white sheets, no patterns or colors.

Assuming white ones are ok, from what I've surffed MA seems to have a 'after market light' law which is left to police desecration
Got to love MA

Lights in Mass.
Mass. General Laws prohibit Blue or Red FRONT FACING lights without a permit issued by a local police chief. Side fac
ing lights of any color are acceptable. The original intent was to prevent motorists from thinking emergency vehicles were approaching (forward facing Red lights are reserved for Fire and Rescue vehicles and forward facing Blue lights are reserved for Police vehicles.)
Doc
Thinking of some glow riders, is aqua light blue legal in ma? Most things are not
