That option was heavily modified for a single use on the RT !!! It was quickly converted back the the RS and damage control was performed to make sure no long term effects were possible.
Wait until Holly finds out she is an aftermarket option.

They probably still have the plans and tooling for the Buell 1150R motor. Just convince Harley that a few bucks in royalties from Spyder production is better than the nothing out of Buell they're getting now. A rational Harley would say yes.

can't remember the thread but there is one where peeps are discussing sales (and that BRP won't release figures) but i asked my dealer and he said he sold about 2 RTs for every 1 RS last year.
and they ordered according to those figures but this year he says RS is outselling the RT.
i figure this is due to pricepoint and more visibility (let's be honest the more people that ryde the more of the cheaper ones are gonna sell).
i mean no disrespect here, i own and love my RR-S, but one day hope to own an RT-S too. no trade ins i plan to own my RS for life (unless i trade her in for a new RS in a few years....).

2 rs's here both together for the price of an RT i don't care to have my cell phone or music ringing in my ear as I ride, I ride to get away from all that you need every bit of attention you can muster to stay alive when you ride and I don't feel a locked throttle or trailer is safe either if you need to carry that much stuff get a convertible. I want the lighter feel and performance of the rs after being on 2 wheels all my life 200 more lbs and way more to go wrong no thanks not trying to start any war's im glad the RT came out as it sells well to the gold wing crowd and increases the chance the spyder breed survies just my feelings

So far I have had 2 RTs's SEe5's A 2011 and a 2012 the 11 was lost due to a hit in an intersection by a red light runner Oh well I have loved both but I do think I like the 12 just a little bit better!

Love my GS. Tried sitting on RT couple of times & just kept wondering who needs to carry that much stuff with them? Although to be fair, my 70+ year old Mother thinks the RTs are cool

RT- Here
2011 - RT-S...one minor issue early on with air bag, since then 8k miles no issues, no limps, no mods.... Much less issues than my boats and motorhomes have had for sure.

Comfort- yes.
Style- highly debatable and depends on what style you like.
Performance- Your incorrect if you think the RT out performs the RS.

I would prefer a mixture between RS/RT - the engine and the front of the RT (maybe a little "smaller") .. the back odf the RS (don`t neeed the luggage if I ryde alone..) .. and a 2-colour painting ..
Outlander fairing - Fox-shock - BajaRon Swaybar - Hankook tire/ back - 165/50 Imperial tires front & longer front shocks - GIVI Topase - Shad sidecases -heated grips - new seats

If you don't slow down, they can't catch you..
If you don't give up, they can't win.
What a long strange journey its been.
