Check your oil level, after the machine has been ridden enough to bring temp up
If the oil level is too high, the blow-by will end up in your airbox. Many new owners aren't aware that the Spyders oil NEEDS to be checked when the engine is HOT. Many think if they start the Spyder & let it sit & run for a few minutes, that since their Temp. gauge reads in the middle, that its warm enough. This is not the case, as the Temp. gauge is reading your coolant temp. not the engine nor oil temp. & if you check your oil level before it is correctly warmed up, then your reading will be low on the dip-stick, causing many to "top-off" their oil & in actuality overfilling the oil & causing the excess to"blow-by" & going into the airbox. Many have also added a "catch-can" in the airbox to help eliminate the oil from getting to the filter. Not saying this is "For Sure" your problem, but it does cause the symptoms you posted about. Hope this helps
