Default High Pitch noise when turning ign on then back off

I have a high pitch noise coming from the RT Limited after turning on the Ignition key then turning back off. When the key is in the on position the noise goes away. Is this fuel pump noise? I haven't noticed this before. This is without starting just cycling the key.

Thats the sound of the throttle bodies being held open, kinda annoying but is "now" considered "normal"

Throttle body's. ''BUT'' Just to cover all bases, The fuel pump will make a similar sound especially if the tank is less than half full.

How long should this happen? I would say it was several minutes after turning the key back off this sound was still going.

My wife noticed this on our 2011 RTS and I said "what high pitched noise?" I don't pick up certain high pitches (probably related to ex-wife trauma syndrome) and it's not caused us any issues so I 'assumed' that all is well.

Me too> I have a 2012 RT that is doing the same thing.-not all the time, but when it does, it is not for the same time period. I would say the 'tone' is about fourteen hundred cycles. nice to know I am not the only one suffering from this mystery.

    Default normal shutdown?

Is this also present on normal shutdown? I am nearly finished with my wrecked RTS rebuild and thought that was an issue I was going to have fix.

If it's a 2011-2012 RT it is normal for all of them.

Thanks Lamont. Yes it's a 2011 RTS, was a dealer demo bike, never sold, only has about 175 miles on it. When I get a few loose ends wrapped up soon to be more miles.
