Default How to reduce or correct lag off the line

I was told that my RT is sluggish off the line due to the lean mixture set at the factory for emission reasons. I know on the RS they have an aftermarket device that tricks the O2 senser into thinking it is too lean and the comuter adjust the mixtor richer to compensate, or so I am told. Can this be achieved on the RT? I can roll on full throttle but it acts like the turbo on my diesel, lag for a couple seconds before it comes to life.
If a programmer will work I will go that way too.

    Regards,

    Randy

The RT is about 300 LBs heavier than the RS and is geared differently than the RS. I 'm pretty sure you can add an O2 modifier to the RT and Two Brothers makes a juice box although the last time I checked there connectors don't mate with the 2011s. I find the RT a dog off the line but once you get up in the gears it holds it own .

I never felt as if my RT was trying to build up a head of steam before a launch... Maybe there's something going on in there that needs some attention.
I dion't know what sort of diagnostics the service folks can throw at a bike when it's up on the BUDS; Can they check mixture settings?

Mixture settings are not readable or changeable.

What do you call sluggish ? When I turn up the wick the flame comes right up. This is a heavy machine but it still will run away from any four wheels at a stop light or entrance to a hwy. It does this one or two up. You might have a problem.

I kind of knew that they weren't going to be adjustable, but I hoped that they'd be able to take a peek at them for diagnostic purposes...

No sense looking if you can't do anything about what you find.

Have you just tried standing on the brake and winding up the rpm's?

    Default Smaller Sprocket

I may be one of the few but I would love to see someone make a smaller front sprocket. I never shift in to 5th untill 70 MPH anyway. I try not to ride on the interstate any more than I have to so I would love to have more low end that a smaller front sprocket would give. Gas milage would not suffer much for me because at cruising speed I would just be in the next gear for the same cruising RPM. Just my openion.

I have had no luck finding an O2 modifier for the RT 2011, can you tell me where to look?

No, I have not tried a breakstand, not tring to burn rubber, just want to get a a bit more off the line. Mine sucks at a quick launce but as I said, once it catches it breath it goes fine.

    Thanks

    Randy
