2012 Owners Event
hubby (Tobor 9) and I here at Velocity Motorsports for my 3000 service. hubby was talking to a BRP rep from Charlotte about the 2012 owners event. They are considering having it in Maggie Valley again as it was such a good turn out in 2011. No firm decisions yet but just wanted to let you know

It was the largest Spyder event to date and I could see why they would do it there again. I'm good anywhere except a big city.

I just want to know how the Spyder Five & a few others do it. How do you ryde so many miles? I have a job that keeps me busy. Oh, I get miles but, in a Peterbuilt.

I can't speak for the others but I take my job on the road with me. I haven't had a real day off in 12 years, I am dealing with something on my other sites 7 days a week from the time I get up till the time I go to bed. Ask anyone who has shared a room with me how much time I put in on my real job. I would love to have a 40-50 hour work week and have two days in a row that I didn't have to check my emails or look at my boards.

It would be nice to see an event in the western states. Sure makes it hard for us westerners to attend when we have to take 2 weeks off of work for a 3 or 4 day event.

I'm biased as I'm only a few hours from Maggie Valley.
That said, the chance to throw the leg over the Spyder and ride for two or three days to get to a rally is exciting as well. The only problem is Spyder vacation time, versus family vacation time.

I might stretch to Denver, or the East slope, but that's as far East as I will ride a bike….

Michigan gets my vote.
SABM 2012 - Spyders Attack the Big Mac 2012!
If you know Michigan, you will know the location I'm talking about.
Just picture all those Spyders crossing the bridge!
BRP, I hope you are reading this.

I'm kind of in the same boat as Lamont, a lot of my work as a writer/ director is freelance, and spread out around the country. I can write or make films from any hotel room while I'm riding. And add to that the fact that traveling on the Spyder and going to some of these events is part of my responsibility as a member of the Spyder 5.

Our country is SO wide it really limits attendence when shifted in one direction or the other, east/west. Would be great if there could be two, centrally located in each quadrant.
I'm trying to be fair about it on the outside but, since I live in NC, inside I am saying Maggie Valley.

Population IMO is more in the east but I'll go anywhere!

I say somewhere along the Can Am Hwy., El Paso to Canada. Screw it. Make the owners event a ride and not a destination.
