Need winter riding pants for short fat guy!!!!
Every pair of pants I find that go around my stout waist, has the legs for the Jolly Green Giant. I know I'm not alone. I ended up buying this jacket: Typhoon Jacket since it was on sale and need some good pant to go with. Yes they sell matching pants, but they have the above problem. I think Im gonna be out of luck. Need to get the lap band!!!!

BDUs have adjustable waist to let out over a range of 3 or 4 inches in each range, but still have fairly tapered legs.. You might try a military supply website and look at their winter wear.

Waist challenges
I have the opposite problem: With 42"x34" dimensions, sometimes it's difficult for me to pants that are long enough. Stores only stock up to 32" length.
I think your best bet is to go online. Chances are you might find what you are looking for directly from the manufacturer.
Good luck!

The pants that match that jacket has leg armour and unless I had them altered at the top of the leg somehow, the knee armour would be shin and ankle supports!!

First gear short size range. They have a quilted liner, the armour is removable. I have worn these at 15 degrees above and did not get cold. A face mask help also.

Nice, you got me excited. Then found out that in the short they only go up to 40 and 42 in the overpants. I guess I just need to lose some freaking weight!!!

Unfortunately, I guess there is a severe lack of half skilled sewers around here. I have taken my FirstGear Thermo suit to 5 different seamstress/sewers/alteration specialists with no luck. We never even got around to discussing what they would charge - none of them will even attempt it. I will still wear it in cold weather because it is by far the warmest riding suit I've ever owned but it would be nice if I could get the legs shortened a few inches. Oh, and the Thermo suit doesn't have armor so that's not the problem.

I don't know where your looking--but will make a suggestion to try Motorcycle Superstore. They have lots of different brands--and you may be able to come up with short range in another brand. I am size 42 so the FG did work for me.
One other brand to try is Revit. I know another person who is a bit bigger than the 42 and those pants in the short range worked real good. Also have removable pads.

Hello, if you want leather a company in Oregon called Langlitz Leather is your best bet. You get what you pay for. BP.

Aerostitch has top quality clothes. Send them your measurements and they make the pants. They aren't cheap but they will last you forever.

LOL!! Hey, it's a contagious disease; a lot of us are plagued by the bulge culprit.

I have Olympic Ranger pants. They are designed to be easily hemmed at the bottom. I don't think you will have an issue with a 34" inseam.
Great pants too

Hawk: let us know what you end up with. My original Firstgear riding pants are looking kind of funky--maybe this is the last season for them.

I know how that feels....every pair of pants I purchase are too long....capri's hit me just above the ankle......been that way all my life....if you shorten the bottom...the knee is just above your ankle......but what SpyderAnne said is right......Aerostitch will make to fit...or that is what I have heard........I live in south Texas and just wear jeans most winters.....but I do have gerbing jacket & gloves.....good luck.....

My Missus is short enough that those Capri pants fit perfectly as REAL pants; and shorts fit as Capris...

I went to a Mens Wearhouse one time looking for a suit. The "gentleman" there took one look at me and said, in his most snobish voice, " Sir, we don't have suits here for portly men". Yeah, I have that problem, too round and too short.
