Default Which Riding do you Like Best?

Which kind of riding do you like best? I know they are all good, but if you had to choose just one. Figure weather is just right for all of them. So it boils down to scenery, view and riding experience.

This is like asking: "Do gentlemen prefer blondes, brunettes or redheads?"
The answer of course, is YES!!!
But I do prefer a"technically challenging" road that's pretty free of debris and potholes... My Missus likes scenic routes and we both detest the interstates!

I know exacly what you mean. It would be hard to choose as I've enjoyed them all. But there are some rides that I know I'm going to enjoy every time. Everyone has 2 or 3 favorites.

Don't have experience on some of these. Only been to the high mountains once. And in a car. I like moderate twisty roads. Hate dead straight with no change of scenery. We pretty much take it easy and enjoy the ryde wherever we go. I try to ryde in the manner described in an article called "The Pace". It's out there on the internet in lots of places. My goal is to not hit the brakes if I can avoid it. I don't necessarly speed up on the straight just to need to slow down coming to a sharp turn. I try and keep a pretty consistant pace. It's often just above the speed limit. But not by much.

What, no rolling hills or flatlands other than the desert, not to mention the Great Lakes view? We are missing lots of geography with this one.

In my mind I included lakes with oceans!

Very hard to pick just one. Doing twisties all day isn't fun. Straight as an arrow desert all day isn't on the top ten either. Like a mixture of all of the choices.

One of my favorite rides is following a river, generally nice and twisty, hills, good scenery.

I have no choice. I live in the mountains but love it and wouldn't have it any other way.

I ryde to work everyday on the straight desert roads here in the Mojave. I love going into the hills and ryding the curves and the challenges of the hills/mountains... plus it's cooler there...LOL!!!

I'm totally down with riding along the river. Nice and twisty. Plus there's nothing as refreshing as hitting a cool, thermal clime on a summer evening.

I agree; It really is hard to pick just one. I crave the feeling of being on the edge on the twisties. But for pure enjoyment I'll take the coast line ride every time. I was raised near the beach but I never get tired of it. I'm just fortunate that I live close enough to enjoy both depending on my mood.

    with Bob. D. YES!

I voted mountains--because here in AK we have lots of them. I have had the priviledge of riding most of the states in either car or motorcycle--and I like everything--each place is special.

    (Cue: America the Beautiful)

Farm country of WI, OH, hills of KY, TN, plains of SD, ND, NE, KS, deserts of AZ, NM, UT, NV etc. etc. etc. Ocean views of HI.

Each state and location brings something special and is beautiful in its own way--you just have to look a little harder sometimes.

We are blessed in that we have such a beautiful country to ride our .

I agree, no interstates. All else is OK but I love the ocean.

I know I've left some out but I think I caught the biggies!

Sometimes any riding is just great. There are times I don't even mind the rain or cold (as long as I can stay dry and reasonably warm). Getting soft in my old age I guess.

But America really does have it all, no doubt about that.

Sometimes it's who you're riding with that makes the difference. But it's all good!

I understand. But life is a series of choices. Some have a hard time choosing because it means eliminating other worth options. Others can make a choice quickly and don't seem to be concerned with options missed.

So, if you were riding today and you had to choose one, which would you choose?

Now... You're missing the point! Jacumba!? That is the best you can do? Well, actually, if you could ride the old concrete 80 that used to go through there now wouldn't that be a thrill!

But the idea is if you could just teleport to your favorite kind of riding, where would that be...
