Spyder Wins Second Place - Best Street Bike
On May 1, 2011, I decided to jump on my Spyder and head to a motorcycle show I found out about on the radio.
The show was held at the park in Louisville, GA, and it was my first time ever going to Louisville. It was a good 1 1/2 hour ryde to get there down country roads, so a very nice ryde overall with only a couple of small towns to pass through.
Once there I paid my money to enter the event, and then the fun started. They had various classes for the motorcycles to compete in, but we couldn't figure out which one the Spyder should be in. This always seems to be an issue since the Spyder is in a class by itself. Most of the time it ends up in the Trike category, but this show only had Street, Custom, and Luxury Classes. Many of you would probably agree that the Spyder could fit in any of those classes, but in the end we chose the Street Bike class.
Here are some pictures from the event:

I kept hoping it would get dark early, or at least have a large cloud cover us for a while during the judging. I did have my lights on anyway for just in case, but like you stated they are nowhere near as dramatic in bright sunlight.

Looks like some stiff competition. Congrats!

This is the second time I have been at a show with the Incredible Hulk machine and he won both times. I probably should have taken more pictures of it as he has really done a lot of nice chrome work on it. Also has an air ride suspension, so he made sure he lowered it when the judges were looking. He had the paint job done in Hawaii when he was stationed over there. The first time I met him at a show in Evans, GA, I did not place at all.
Thanks for all of the congratulations everyone, I had a really good time there and introduced a whole lot of people to the Spyder who had only seen the commercial or never saw one at all before. Lots of people taking pictures with it as well. Trophy or not, it was a worthwhile trip but I like it even more since the judges showed my Spyder some love.
