Default #75 +25 (Bride and groom on your Spyder)

+I captured a bridal couple upon my Spyder today at the Stone Church in Cragsmoor, NY.

The Stone Church is a beautiful location available to all, and was featured in my #28 Old Church submission back in the winter months:
    http://www.roadkillonline.net/imaged...es/35_9996.JPG

The happy couple had glorious weather for today's photo op, but strangely, they had nothing to say...

This contest has really taken off and I couldn't be more excited!!

We have over 10,000 views and 429 posts with TONS of really cool photos.

I'm still looking for sponsors to donate prizes in the form of gift certificates. I've sent out some e-mails and some on-line forms. For some reason, I can't get the form from Bert's Mega Mall to work. Keeps rejecting my Catchphrase though I don't know why so I've sent a PM to AWOOD.

So far, we have two prizes available

    1. KewlMetal
    2. R/T Sales

Hopefully we'll have more by the time the contest ends at the end of next month.

Don't give up...we have a couple of players that are way ahead but, if we can get a few more prizes, then a number of people will be in the running

    https://docs.google.com/document/edi...uthkey=CN3J53U

added quite a few from the last couple of weekends, some I would considered highlights would be

    5. In front of a rocket. was at the Aerospace museum in Hutchinson KS.
    22. An interesting landmark. Big Brutus in KS. 2nd largest electric shovel ever built, and largest still in existence.

Woo hoo! I've said a bunch that this was an amazing adventure for us, and I really hope we can do it again next year! Could see the 25k mark, as this accelerated in the latter months.

I am pleased to announce that GloRyder and Bert's Mega Mall have joined the list of prize donors. Hope this is just the start of new donations

I've decided to award the prizes as follows:

    1. I will provide a list of prizes to those who win
    2. I will have each prize winner choose his/her prize in the order that they place
    3. I will have each prize winner contact the donor directly to claim the prize

I will then post the list of winners and their prize as a separate thread

I have decided that, in order to make it more fair, for Item 88 (longest word) I will assign each letter the value assigned to it in Scrabble. Then I multiply the number of letters times the value...add the total...and divide by the total number of letters

At this point, we have Roadkill in the lead at 1.8
IF Deb's word had been a sign (as required), she would have had 1.65
IF Biker1 can get to Co. Galway and find it, Muckanaghederdauhaulia would score 1.77
Albuquerque on the other hand would score 2.7

I will then award the top word 100 points; #2 gets 75 points, # gets 50 points, and #4 gets 25 points...no other words will get points

So, everyone has a chance. The "odder" the word, the better chance you have

And what is the opinion regarding the stated requirement of the bike in the image? I'd imagine those lacking that requirement aren't valid.

Opinions are important upon factual presentation as they'll shape its overall construct, but late-dated changes are not opinions and affect the outcome.

My opinion is that I've participated well along the rules guidelines and don't appreciate them being changed at the last minute.

I'm preparing a fully-linked spreadsheet presentation of my overall Scaverger Hunt Attempt that I will attempt to googlepost. If not, you'll still have access to my full attempt record.

I was in Albuquerque, NM two weeks ago that sucks.

Need help with math also. How did you get 2.7 for Albuquerque? (31 * 11) /11 = 31

Even though I haven''t been participating in this contest, I do agree with Roadkill on the rules being changed at the last minute. If the longest word picture guaranteed a win regardless of other pictures, then I think it is an unfair advantage. In that case, I would remove that category / picture from the contest entirely. Being that (longest word) picture is only worth 100 points and there are many others that are worth that much or more, I don't think that's the case.
