We stopped at the Ohio Club in Hot Springs Arkansas for lunch today and found a spot right outside the front door, the statue is of "Al Capone", he used to frequent the Ohio Club back in the day When it was a Speakeasy.
There ya go. When he lived in Chicago, he used to go up to WI near Hayward (Couderay). His place was turned into a museum and a restaurant (The Hideout). We frequented it often. It was a great Sunday afternoon motorcycle ride for us.
UPDATE: The Hideout went bankrupt and closed its doors in 2008. They were trying to sell the property for $2.6 million--appraised at $3.7 million.

I like the historical life size figures in the places well known people lived or visited. He looks quite natural lounging on the park bench.
I stopped in a little roadside park in Greenville, Florida a couple times. There is a life size Ray Charles singing and playing a keyboard in the park. After I got back home, I looked up the bio on Ray Charles. He grew up in Greenville, Florida, only about 40 miles from where I live in Florida. He started playing and singing in one of the local cafes in Greenville, when he was very young. It was interesting, and something I did not know, before walking over to see who was sitting on the bench in the center of the little park.
If my Spyder was behind it, it would have to be parked in the pond.
It is a good, long walk from the parking lot to the center of the little park where the statue is.
I was riding the Harley when I took those pictures.
I have some pictures of my stop at the animal park in Grey, Maine. It is close to Durham. Might even have rode through Durham a few times. I have been just about all over Maine.
We stopped by the Ohio Club in 2019 when we stayed in Hot Springs, had lunch and got a t-shirt. There was a gentleman there playing guitar and singing, he even did a Prine song. I can't get to the pictures right now, but I believe my wife and I sat for a portrait with Mr. Capone.
