Default Which do you prefer for Dallas to Hot Springs - I-30 or I-70? Why?

Here's the two routes I could take from Dallas to Hot Springs. Anyone prefer one over the other? If so, why?

Can’t do I70 since it’s does not go to those cities. But for myself I would take Highway 70. I don’t take Interstate highways unless I have to..

If you’ve got the time, head North from Paris on US-271 all the way to just North of Talihina, Oklahoma; then take OK-1/AR-88 East all the way past Mena and Oden, AR; then continue East on AR-270 through Mt Ida into Hot Springs. You won’t be sorry - the Talimena Scenic Byway is quite the route - if you like great natural views while riding.

Not sure about I-30 Dallas to Texarkana. I just did I-30 from Texarkana - Hot Springs today; fairly light traffic, no problems; some road work barrels after Friendship - no delays, just barrels, maybe less than 5miles. The unfortunate caution is Arkansas has ZERO TOLERANCE - they set the speed traps, sit back, & giggle (maybe even play their banjos!) I hope you don’t find out the hard way.

Hope to see you here at SpyderPops!

    No ride preference given here.

But...whatever one you take going, take the OTHER ONE back. Then, you can make a choice based on your likes and dislikes the next time around. And, you get to see two different sets of scenery and driving conditions.
