Extremely hard to tell if the large will look goofy (hang over the top) or in reverse (standard too small?) on a 2024 RT S2S.
Any feedback from owners?
Thanks, Martin

I just received my large rack today!
I'll mount it tomorrow and take photos for you.
I held it up there and it looks perfect!
We have a month long trip coming up in June, and really need the extra storage

I have the SE Large rack on my 2022 STS. I bought it for light loading. It is nice quality, and to me, nicer looking than tubular racks. That said, I wish I would have bought the standard size.

Wow, a whole month, enjoy the journey. My rack does a good job on a week, or more, getaway for the two of us I have a rain proof bag I usually put light items in, like clothes. Just a quick bungie release and take it to your room. 47 gallons capacity and the rack works good. Might not be adequate for two if you are a camper, but I try to get along without a pull trailer as convenient as it might be.
However, as Mike said earlier in post #2. It doesn't increase the WEIGHT you can carry only the volume. Good luck with your trip. What a great adventure.

I installed the large rack on my 21 RTL, and wished I had not. The extra weight on the lid would not let the lid remain open on its own. Was a pain holding it open..... I removed it and now have plastic plugs filling the holes. I also realized the Spyder has more packing space than any bike I'm aware of. My wife and I do a lot of long distance rides, sometimes 4 weeks or more. We also travel very light and bring minimal clothing. We use the same theory as a backpacker. Nothing cotton, wicking polyester shirts and skivvies, smart wool socks. I also spent years doing adventure riding with camping gear. Packing on a motorcycle is a true science.
There was a packeage deal at the spyder rally in Maggie Valley last October. They had the rack and an upgraded shock system so that the lid would stay open. So far I have not had issues with my trunk lid, just the shock that holds up the seat when refueling.

I did the same. Mine came with the rack. I kinda like the looks but a PITA to keep the lid open. Took it off and plugged holes. If I could find a good strut that would do the job I would put it back on.
