I saw (on FaceBook) that Lamont is in the hospital fighting a staph infection. Just thought I'd share the news. Sounds like thoughts and prayers would be welcome.

We all have people in our lives that forever change the direction of our future. It isn't usually evident at the time the crossroad is chosen. Or even that it is a crossroad at all.
I am praying that Lamont recovers 100%. And I wish there were something that I could do to help. This isn't much. But I'm hoping it can do something for my friend that I cannot.
Get Well My Friend!
A Priceless Friend!
I rode upon 2-wheels, for more years than I can count,
With many faithful steeds, each one a spirited mount.
Some shined with chrome and glossy paint, others moved in muted black.
And every time I ventured out, I found myself not wanting to come back.
From adventures with good riding buds, to destinations without a cause.
When offered to ride, near or far, I never stopped to pause.
And then it came to my attention, with a friend’s more than casual mention,
“You need to get yourself one of these!! Do it now, if you please.”
“What in the world?” I exclaimed in dismay. ”I’m not buying that! Forget it! No Way!”
As I looked at the newfangled rig on his screen. It was the strangest thing I’d ever seen. (And I told him so)
“What do you mean?” He cried in offence. “I just bought one for myself. What are you against?”
“It’s 3-wheels”, I said with a start. “To part with 2-wheels would break my heart.”
“Just look at that thing! They built it all wrong. 2-wheels in the front, with a big fat 3rd trailing along.”
“And what about the glaring fact, that they aren’t even sure they’re going to make them yet!”
“You’re a stick in the mud and stuck in your ways.” He said quite rudely, as I stood there amazed.
“But if you won’t buy one, I’ll ride mine alone. Then you’ll be sorry, ‘cause it will be Bad to the Bone!”
I went back home, all in a huff. I had my sweet Suzuki M109R. And that was more than enough.
When something came over me, creeping strange in my mind. I logged onto BRP's website, and their contract I signed.
I called up my buddy, and told him the deed. I was a genius, we both agreed.
His arrived first, bright yellow and clean. My Silver Moon pick was nowhere to be seen.
30 days later, mine was ready to go. But I was in Tennessee, and it was in south Florida, you know.
So, down we went, on a road trip in the sun. Me in my truck, and Lamont slinging shotgun.
We took our first ride together, the very next day, it was a blast! I am happy to say!
The rest is history. And how it did spawn. Lamonster Garage, and BajaRon!

So this would be transplant #2? I hope it comes thru soon and that it goes well. God Bless Lamont.

Yes, #2. I found this on the web.
Up to 9 out of 100 patients who have a liver transplant may require a second transplant (known as a re-transplant). This is often a result of disease recurrence, complications resulting from the first transplant or chronic deteriorating liver function. Chronic rejection happens in 2 in 100 patients.

Yes, unfortunately, Lamont’s first new liver ended up having bile duct issues which, to quote Lamont, “were slowly killing him”. That’s how he ended up in hospital recently with a very, very serious infection. He is now at the top of the list for a second liver. I hope Lamont and Joan don’t mind me posting this on here, but there are a serious number of worried folk on the site who would like to know the current situation and this is probably the best way to communicate it.

This is his latest post. Like Peteoz said he is still waiting. I'm not sure if a link gets you there on FaceBook. If it doesn't get you there, this is what he posted "Not Today Satan Not Today."
I can only imagine what Lamont must be feeling. When my two daughters went under the knife at the same time in January 2016, one gave part of her liver and the other received it during a live liver donor transplant. The one who received has had her ups and downs over the years. Stay strong Lamont; saying prayers for you. God Bless.

So, Lamont is now off the intravenous antibiotics (which Joan administers every 6 hours, an hour a time), and on to oral antibiotics……..but there is always a downside. The fact that his infection is now under control means that he has been moved from the top of the liver transplant wait list to further down the queue. Aaaaarrrrrrggggghhhhhh. Fingers crossed a match comes up quickly……he has been through enough
