Anyone modified their Ryker Front fenders for better ground clearance?
Has anyone modified the front fenders to get them higher on the back side? On the dirt/sand roads here they tend to plow sand causing drag. I don’t want to remove them but maybe cut them so they are higher from the ground.

Reason: Expanded title to briefly ask the question... ;-)
Do the flat bits at the bottom detach at all?
If so I would remove cut and refit.
If not I would consider cutting a 3" or so section out, 2 cuts per fender and reattach with a plate on the inside. Glued and bolted.
Or even take the removed fenders to a plastic welder type of place. Maybe they can weld/melt the join.

So have you had a look to see if it detaches Fvee3?
I’m going to check it out today. It’s been raining here and no garage to work in. If I do cut them I won’t replace those flat fins, not sure what their purpose is but I don’t really think they are of any use. I’ve ridden in the rain and tire spray get you really wet so I don’t think they really help with that.
Looked at the fender this morning. Don’t think I’ll cut anything just yet. Not sure how losing some of the clips that hold the 2 pieces together will affect the strength of the assembly.
Took the Rykers out today. The dirt roads were quite muddy and wet. It’s now time to shorten the front fenders. Broke the little wing on the bottom of the fender. Those things are quite low for off road and don’t really help keep water off you. I’ll post some photos after I cut them.
