Had my Spyders hauled to FL, great shipper
Hi all,
We arrived in our home in Cape Coral, FL, on Tuesday, after leaving NH in the pouring rain on 12/27. The Spyders were picked up on 12/26, and were delivered yesterday.
I know the question about hauling Spyders has come up here before, and we had a GREAT experience with our shipper, so I wanted to let everyone know about him.
His name is Michael Sorrentino, he is based out of Ft. Lauderdale. I found him on uShip.com. He had a competitive bid, and the best feedback of everyone that bid on my shipment.
He carried the Spyders in an enclosed trailer with front wheel chocks and 6 point tie downs to an Etrac system. He was punctual - he called and said he'd be at my place in about an hour, he was there in 58 minutes. He communicated and let me know where my bikes were at any given time. And, one the biggest issues for me - he does the driving. He does not broker his deliveries at all. I knew who would be moving my bikes the whole time.
I gave him stellar feedback on uShip, but wanted to share my good experience with everyone here, and let you all know how to reach Mike:

That is fantastic info. I know many people who would rather ship their bikes to an event than ride them, me included. Thanks you for the info!

Shipped from New Hampshire. He picked up in my driveway. Delivered to my driveway in FL. Cost was $1350. His bid was within $150 of the lowest bid (not counting a couple outliers, who have a 6x10 trailer and a Ford F150, who offered to do it for $700).

Thanks this is great info. I passed on a Mexico trip recently because I did not feel like making the long ride through Texas to McAllen.
