Any Ryker air filter cross references besides K&N???
Looking for a Purolator or Wix. Something I can pick up at local stores at a more reasonable price? TIA, cueman

K&N is the least expensive filter you can purchase. The reason is that you can clean them, reoil them, and use them over and over and over. In case you weren't aware of that.
-
Yes I know about KN but do not prefer them. Just want a good quality, name brand, throw away filter. Thanks, cueman

Like cueman,
I am not a fan of K&N! Anyone have a replacement filter for the Spyder RTL with Rotax 1330 engine? Video in this post gives high marks to Purolator and WIX. Any help would be appreciated.

Air and trans filters are same size on the Ryker.
Change the trans twice as often
I will second the recommendation from Sarge707...or maybe he seconded mine:

Interesting tidbit, the factory filter from Doug's V85TT and my '22 Ryker are the same:
IMG_0920.jpg V85TT & Ryker replace with Hiflo 6101.jpg
So the Hiflofiltro HFA6101 will work perfectly.

The Ryker has 2 air filters. Left side, engine. Right side, CVT cooling system. The engine air filter will usually last a long time. Not all that much air going through it. But the CVT side sucks A Lot of Air! And it does it all the time. This air cools the CVT belt. If this air flow is restricted. You can go through a belt in short order.
We have seen a number of CVT side air filters clogged with grass, leaves, dirt, etc., and signs that the CVT belt life has been shortened. We recommend a K&N on the CVT belt side as it will flow more air dirty (to a point) than the paper filter flows brand new. Doing this can add a good deal of life to your CVT belt and overall drive system.
Air flow through paper filters will drop quickly as they get dirty. If you run a paper filter on the CVT side of a Ryker. Check it often.

Yes, I called up Paige and had a K&N for the CVT side in 2 days time. And you are exactly right, at 2500 miles the engine air filter and housing looked absolutely new, while the CVT filter looked like it had been on the bike more like 25,000 miles with all manner of dirt, bugs, grass, and leaf bits sucked in the housing. Hard to believe the difference. Thanks again for offering the K&N at the lowest price anywhere.

Does the pre filter on the Rally help.
Might be easier to check more often and clean.

I really like the guy in this video link. He is usually very accurate and through. But I have to say that this 'Test' is bogus. Yes, If you are going to dump clumps of very fine foreign material on your air filter, don't use a K&N. But this is not a real world situation. In the real world, fine particles are suspended in the air. This is a huge difference.
The K&N filter does a great job of removing foreign material in a real world environment. The K&N will flow more air dirty than a paper filter does brand new. While this is probably not that important on the air intake side of the Ryker. It is a very good feature on the CVT cooling fan side. We've found several clogged paper filters on Ryker CVT filters. This can greatly shorten the life of the drive belt. It is a logical conclusion to assume that with much better airflow, even dirty, the K&N will extend the life of the CVT drive belt on a Ryker.
I ran K&N filters on my dirt bike in the deserts and dunes of California with no problem. Many times riding behind several other riders creating a very fine dust cloud. I did have to clean it often. But this was better than having a clogged paper filter to throw away at the end of every riding day.
Everyone has an opinion. And that's just fine with me. But I would suggest that you not base yours on the results of this particular video 'Test'.
