Is it possible to do a DIY reflash on an F3?
I am strongly considering a "stage 1" reflash for my 2018 F3. I'd rather do it myself, both for the fact I like doing things myself (and I have some experience) and less downtime. Do you know if this is possible?
Thanks!

Reason: Expanded title to briefly ask the question... ;-)

yes go to monster also go stage two you will be much happier

Stage 2 sounds good, but they want you to send in your airbox lid, I think? I should be able to modify it myself. I'm pretty happy with a drill, a Dremel, a torch, and a really big hammer.

brian -- I suggest you talk to Monster. The Spyder has a knock sensor and it's likely Monster will say if you ride easy Regular gas will work in a pinch.

That's actually a great idea. I havent actually picked up the bike yet (Saturday), but I come from 35 years of motorcycles, and not used to having any storage space!

You cannot do it yourself if you want the Monster/WickIt tuning.. You can do it yourself with a DynoJet Powervision but I don't feel the tune is as "refined".... If you do it thru WickIt or Monster (one in the same) I highly recommend the Stage 2...

Yes you can do it yourself with the Monster tunes. But it requires purchasing the MyGenius device along with the tunes. The airbox lid is easy to modify with a 1 inch hole saw. I bought a spare airbox lid and cut the holes in it myself. Monster sent me the Stage 1 and Stage 2 tunes along with the MyGenius and I can switch between stock, Stage 1 and Stage 2 as I want. It takes about 5 or 10 minutes to retune.

Give Jamie Long a call at Fuel Moto USA and get some info on a DynoJet PV3. Free lifetime map support and you can make tweaks if you so desire..
