Third peg frame bolt torque?
So I picked up a third peg.
Wondering what is the correct torque for that bolt?

Thinking 8mm - about 22 Nm? - 195 in lbs maybe.

Cheers Haze.
Found YFS 12.9 on the cap screw head.
That chart suggests up to 40 nm.
But is that correct for the application there?
Looked lots of places but cant find the info.

Yep. Seems to be the norm, even in the videos from the experts?
I like to torque them thanks. Nuts eh?
19 Nm/168 in lbs. will do just fine.

The install went ok. I had to clean out the threads from that yellow stuff. Then lift the arm a bit to re-install the bolt for the hanger. Took a photo where you may make out the mark inside where is should be. I will have to take a snap of the finished job and add to this post tomorrow.

Just an FYI observation, the 3rd peg you have pictured in your hand is for the other side, not the side pictured.
This is going to confuse somebody for sure

Yeah I guess it possible I may confuse some.
If you care to view the photo above your post - zappoh! I seem to have matched the right peg holders.
The post and photo you refer to is in fact a question about the bolt and the correct torque.
I did not want to strip that with over-torquing the bolt - hence the question..
The bolts appeared to be identical in size, thread and length.
And if you want to get super Anal about the photo and the captions.
Its in fact correct........
"I picked up a third peg.... correct.

Just finished my installation of Lamont's 3rd Peg set up.Surprised at the big difference they made in getting both on and off. A definite improvement.
Another comment on just how professional the entire transaction is in dealing with Lamonster Garage. A true class operation, thanks.
