A different way to do it. Surely well made and looks less obtrusive than the big vertical levers. With all of them you loose the ability to do any foot shifting if you choose. Plus, they cost $$$$
My solution to bending way down and reaching way out is the addition of the very common motorcycle shift lever. About $10 on Amazon or wherever. Just pull the rubber off the shift lever, maybe grind the lever down a little bit so this fits right inside where you will slide your rubber back on. Set it at the height you like, tighten down and go for it.
Now you can just do a minor reach down and pull it into reverse. You can use your foot also if you choose. Pushing it back to forward is easy with the foot or hand. Also, easy to find that central "neutral position.
KISS ... I like simple and cheap.
