GPS Question
Anyone planning on adding a after market GPS to your RT?
What kind installation project would this be?
Is there a bracket available?

I intend to do this. I expect to use a RAM ball mounted to one of the handlebar bolts, with a machined spacer below the bracket, like on my BMW RT. Difficult to install elsewhere, except maybe the clutch cylinder cover, due to the cast handlebar assembly. There was a video on You-Tube that showed one mounted on the left side (clutch cover?). They had cables running to the cover in the center of the bars, where the BRP GPS plugs in. I hope this means there is an easy way to steal power there, and perhaps integrate it to the audio system. I won't know until I get mine so I can dissect it. The dealer would frown on me popping covers off his. I'm going to add Powerlet outlets front and rear, though, so I will be able to get power regardless. That is a bit of a chore, since things are more closed in on a Spyder RT than an RS (but no more so than your Goldwing or my BMW RT).

I took the Zumo 550/xm radio off my Goldwing before I sold it. I will make a plate that will attach to the 4 bolts on the bars. I will then attach a RAM mount to that. I will run a power lead to the to a switched hot wire in the front fuse box. I will run the xm antenna wire from the glove box (tested on the dealers RT). I will then run a wire from the zumo to the 3.5 connector in the rear so I will have volume control thru the Aux. I am having the dealer put in a CB so he will run the wires for me during that installation. I have also tested my bluetooth phone with this setup and every thing is OK.
