***** What Tires are on YOUR Spyder - Details Please *****
There's been a lot of talk about a sticky for tires. The purpose of this thread is to create a place for you to share your information.
...
I'll start:
Spyder: 2020 RTL
Type of Riding: Mostly touring. Not terribly aggressive.
Suspension: RonBar, Laser Alignment
Front Tires: Kumho Solus KH16 175/55/15, set to 17 PSI
Rear Tire: Cooper Mastercraft LSR Grand Touring 215/60/15, set to 26 PSI
Current Mileage: About 12,000 miles. They still look brand new.
Comments: Bought the tires for my previous Spyder and put about 6,000 miles on them. I liked them so much I had them transferred to my 2020 RTL before delivery.
The tires, alignment and RonBar were all installed by Netzley Tire in Accord New York. I'm very pleased with the tires and Remarkably Pleased with Netzley Tire.

Spyder: 2013 RT-L
Type of Riding: Spirited Twisty ryding; long/hot distance touring; occasional track/test work
Suspension: RonBar; Laser Alignment; ECU Upgrade with inlet & exhaust mods
Front Tires: Oz spec Kumho Solus 175/55/15, set to 15 PSI
Rear Tire: Oz spec Michelin (tba) 205/65/15, set to 17 PSI
Current Mileage: Fronts - 30,000 ish miles; Rear - 20,000 ish miles. They still look very good with even wear & no heel/toe
Comments: I do adjust my tire pressures on a daily basis to suit any changes in load, ambient temps, road surface or conditions; &/or what I'm doing, and I occasionally swap these tires out to test/evaluate others. This combination of tires particularly suits my need for Sport/Touring All Season/All Weather tires & the long/hot distances I frequently cover here in Oz.

Spyder: 2019 RTL
Type of riding: Mixed. Country backroads, 50 to 500 miles at a time. Interstate 75++ cause if you see me on one I'm in a hurry.
Suspension: BajaRon swaybar and shock preload adjusters. Laser alignment.
Front tires: 175/55R-15 Vredestein Q5's 18 PSI 23,000 miles
Rear tire: 205/65R-15 Vredestein Q5 18 PSI 25,500 miles
Current mileage: Front 23,000 miles Rear 25,500 miles Still in good condition
Comments: Rear tire corrected speedometer to 1/2 MPH low at 70 MPH.
Found the hard way that 175/65R-15 are too big for the front.
Tires have been excellent in rain. Very smooth. Good dry traction.

Rear Tire: Yokohama Avid S 215/60R15 24psi

Spyder: 2013 RT-L

Suspension: Stock
Front Tires: Vee Rubber 175/55/15, set to 18 PSI Came on Yike (Y-Bike vs Trike)
Rear Tire: Kumho KU25, 91H, 225/50/R15, set to 22 PSI

Spyder: 2019 RTL
Type of Riding: 40% touring and 60% very spirited curvy roads. Ride apx. 7,500 miles per year. ECU flashed to Stage two by Monster. Riding style would be considered as very aggressive.
Suspension: BajaRon sway bar, lazer alignment by Lamonster Garage
Front Tires: Kenda Kanine KR20 165/55R15 55H - Pressure 18 lbs. Handles much better than 20lbs or more.
Rear Tires: Kenda Kanine 225/50R15 76H - Pressure 28 lbs.
Current Mileage: About 5000 miles. They still look brand new.
Comments: I replaced the OEM tires with the Kanine K20 and am pleasantly surprised by their performance to date, much better than OEM tires. I would consider replacing at next tire change with car tires especially if K20's are not available, probably leaning toward Vredestein Quatrac tires but unsure about size. It appears to me that the Quatrac rear tire is not available in factory size but close. My concern with car tires is that some of them seem to have better wet traction than others. Since I will ride in rain or any condition I would not want tires that didn't handle wet pavement well. I am interested in receiving input on suggested car tires and size. Dealer will install any tire I bring in to be installed.

Love the ride of my New car tires, Added the Centramatic wheel balancers on all 3 wheels, Nice Smooth Ride Now!

Spyder: 2012 RT-L
Type of Riding: spirited Twisty riding; long distance touring varied Spring, Summer(hot), Fall touring mostly single but occasionally two up with trailer. About 12,000 miles/year.
Suspension: Baja Ron Bar; Laser Alignment
Front Tires: Cooper tires
Rear Tire: Pirelli no longer made
Current Mileage: Fronts - ?; Rear - 20,000 ish miles. The fronts still look very good with even wear. The rear is wearing even across and has maybe 1500 miles left.
Comments: I have my tires mounted at my local tire shop here in rural Utah and they have never balked at me bringing my own tires. The first time I did buy a Mastercraft from them which I liked very much and it lasted 40,000 miles. I also bought my current Coopers there. I let them remove the fronts but I bring the rear wheel in for them to mount and then remount the wheel on the Spyder myself. I run 15 to 18 lbs front and 18 to 20 in the rear. Tires are as close to stock as possible given the brand being used.

Spyder: 2017 RTL
Type of Riding: Day to day running, touring (solo - two-up - two-up+622 trailer), some sport touring, the occassional hot run. Will ride in any weather except hail
Suspension: (Fr) Wilbers 630 Front (Rr) 640 with remote adjuster, adjust dampening depending on ride (freeway vs country road vs MotoX track disguised as country road).
Front Tires: Nankang XR611 165/65R15 20 psi dry, 18 psi wet
Rear Tire: Nankang XR611 225/50 R15 26 psi dry, 24 psi wet
Current Mileage: Fronts 40,000kms, rears about 20,000 per tyre (I don't let them wear all the way) Spyder has 68???kms on clock
Comments: Switched from OEM Kenda to Arachnid saw improvement ditched it, and tried the Nankangs. Decided to give aftermarket shocks a try + sway bar, but aftermarket shocks have addressed the issues sufficiently. Not one to be too concerned about mileage, prefer grip and handling. Alignment done by my very competent dealership mechanic. I was ready to abandon Spyders until this combo resulted in a very tidy ride and convinced me to stay with the product.
PSOP excellent idea

Recently bought the 2015 F3-S. Has factory original Kendas in front, and selling m/c dealer installed a brand new Kumho Ecsta AST rear, size 225/50R15. Know nothing about it so far. Will try to remember to revisit this thread once we get some miles on it. Looks like 20-22psi should be about right on the rear. Spyder has right at 6K miles on it.
