I just did my lung exercises as that seems to be the only thing I’m really struggling with. I don’t want pneumonia or a collapsed lung. A guy coded just now and that woke me up. I must say that most of the liver transplant patients have been here for two weeks or more and not all of them are doing near as well as I am. I contribute that directly to your prayers and God‘s intervention.
We had a good prayer time with the chaplain on this floor and it was very encouraging for both of us. He is a pastor from Nigeria doing Gods work here in St. Louis.
I would ask that you would not tag my wife in this post as it’s blowing up her phone and she really needs her rest. We feel all your support and prayers and thank you from the bottom of our heart ❤️ Love you guys"
Hang in there!!!!!

"Feeling beyond grateful at Lamont’s 6 month post liver transplant checkup in St. Louis. Thank you to all who have kept him in your prayers. ❤️
Lamonster is a fighter. He endured very rough heartbreaking times. We don’t even like to talk about it as we’re trying to focus ahead and not look back. It’s too painful for both of us.
I have to pinch myself that Lamont is healthy and by my side, my living miracle man. It’s going to take up to a year or more for him to fully recover from his surgery and medication adjustments, etc. Recently, in September they did find he had a blocked bile duct which was probably going on for a long time and causing his elevated enzymes which created much havoc and probably many high doses of unnecessary meds.
Always believe in good. Always keep the faith. Never give up. ❤️"

Latest news from Joan Wise Bryden :
Lamont is in the Recovery Room following another liver biopsy procedure this morning. (We’ve lost count as he’s had so many.) He is 8 months post liver transplant and still having issues with elevated liver enzymes, bilirubin, and more. We’re well aware of the fact the first year is a rough one trying to get back to normal health. My husband is very tough and a fighter but it’s still extremely hard on him. Let’s hope the liver transplant team can get to the underlying cause of this today. #lamonsterstrong #donatelife
