Red face Trailer hitch for 2019 RTL

    Hello!

I'd like to pull my Escapade trailer with my Spyder but I'm pretty tapped after the purchase of the Spyder itself. I've looked at and read about the cheaper, aftermarket hitches but I'm pretty convinced that the OEM hitch is the right choice. Having a bit of sticker shock (as with all things BRP, eh) on the new, retail of the hitch with isolation relay kit.

By chance does someone out there have a used one they are looking to sell for a reasonable price?

    Please DM me.

    Thanks in advance.

If you do a search on just this forum/section, there's a few adverts showing OE hitches for sale that you might want to look at, maybe send a PM....

The link below is from Oct & says it's for a 2012 RT, but the hitch itself will fit any year RT, RT-L, F3-T, or F3-L, just not the F3-S or base F3's - you might need to check the wiring adaptor tho...

Interesting. Thank you. I did skim down through then entire FSBO sub-forum and did a search for "hitch" but I must have missed this one. I'll contact the seller.
I had previously gotten the impression that the p/n changed for the 2018/2019 model year but yeah, it's probably just the harness that's different.

    Thanks again!

Just be aware the harness won't be a plug and play. The escapade is an 8 wire connector if memory serves.

Question Do you want full lighting functionality?

Up -- integrating the trailer adapter module might be challenging.

Question: does your trailer already have the traditional 4-pin connector or does it have more pins as shown on Escapade schematics and JT cited?

If 4-pin then finding an adapter with harness will be fairly easy.

If you have more pins, then you have a choice: do you want the limited 4-pin functionality or do you want the full functionality of separate turn signal, backup and interior lights?

Let me know if you want the full functionality because I can tell you how to achieve it but some-assembly-required.
