Since I had the brake failure light come on, which was immediately resolved by adding a few teaspoons of fluid, I thought I would go ahead and bleed the brakes. I did have a whole bottle of brake fluid sitting on the shelf.

I am not a mechanic. When I have a tool in my hand, 911 needs to be on Standby.
I installed Lamonster Garage LED headlights and fog lights on my Spyder today. MAN WHAT A DIFFERENCE THEY MAKE! The headlights weren't too bad to install but that left fog light is a B##CH to get in and install the cover back. It took me awhile just to get the cover back on.But I was able to get it back on without removing the frunk.
I will try to attach a picture of the Spyder at night. I would recommend the LED lights to anyone who rides at night or just wants to be better seen the daylight.

Reason: Add picture
Looked at it at least 20 times as I walked by it in the garage. Trying to finish the RV stuff before I do anymore to the Spyder.
It’s calling you...

Took a long look at how dirty both of the F3's are getting from the early spring rides. She's going to have to give them a wash once we get a week of sunny and warm weather.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.
When I click on the link, I'm told that particular item is out of stock and may never return. Unfortunately, two different rings are suggested; one an 8mm and the other a 10mm. Is the stock Spyder shock bolt 10mm?

Mine were 10mm, think maybe early models are smaller. Here is six for a good price. You can do yours and two friends.

This week I installed 2 things on my Spyder RTL.
Added the, High mount run, turn, brake light, from SpyderPops.
and while I had the back of my Spyder taken apart I added,
RT trailer harness from Canamspyderaccessories.
Then yesterday me an the wife took our Spyders for a ride to Prosser an ate bbq. When we got home I wiped my Spyder down an then waxed it. Wife just put her's away.
Picked up and installed driver backrest, my dealer happened to have one in stock. Took me about 20 minutes to install it in their parking lot (part of that time was downloading the instructions, then googling how to remove the rear seat). Would have gone a little faster with the proper tool, but the 10mm crescent wrench from the bike's tool roll worked for the job.
Then took it on a nice short (~40 mile) test ride to make sure it's comfortable. S2S-backrest.jpgS2S with backrest.jpg
Installed fog lights bought from fellow member here, installed USB port bought from Amazon (love that it's orange to match frame on my 2020 F3-S Special, fog light switch light is orange also ) Now waiting for handlebar riser bought from another fellow member here, and finally awaiting clear weather to test my AirHawk. Installed cannonball seat I received for Christmas which is softer/plusher than original. Problem with it is my heavy @$$ bottoms it out I believe lol
Replaced the gas strut that holds the seat up on my 2016 RTL. Original strut couldn't hold seat up with driver backrest on it. Small thing, but now I don't have to prop the seat up with a stick while refueling.
Finally got a ride in today after 6 weeks of not being able to because of unusually odd and unpredictable winter weather our way - my longest "dry spell". Did over 200 miles as the sky was clear and the temps were in the 60's all day.
Just what it says really...I see this question/topic on a couple other forums I visit, and it's always interesting to see what people post. So, what did you do to your Spyder today? Any model, heck let's include Ryker too.....
I do something to my Spyder every chance I get and that is to RIDE it.
Took my bike out for its first longer ride with twisty roads up in the mountains nearby. About 120 miles, nearly half of them with curves, most of the rest highway. Actually had the space to try out the cruise control as well (on the freeway, not on the fun roads).
Went to the NV DMV to register the Beast.
Was told they are not accepting walk-ins unless you get a number ticket at the door at 8am.
Looks like I have to get in line at 7am later this week.
Online appointments are filled until May 10th.
