Thinking about buying Pedal Comander
Any of you tried the Pedal Commander (Slingmods sells them) to enhance your throttle response? I was thinking about buying it but at $300 I’d like to hear what you guys think or heard first. The YouTube video’s are impressive.

If you are a 'spirited' rider, get it! It wakes up the engine when you want that little something more for passing and accelerating out of corners. Doesn't add power or torque but makes the ride more fun. You can turn it off or set to 36 levels of sensitivity.

Hello,
I have the same problem for my 2017 daytona...to buy pedal commander or tune my ECU stage 2. Two different things, stage 2 map will cost me around 500usd if I have the map tuner.

What the Commander does is quicken the throttle response ...... It ADDS NO HP ..... I would research what Monster fuel ( and Wicked performance ) does for slightly more money ..... your choice .... good luck .....Mike

As a suggestion, before getting a pedal commander..do a performance tune first....your bike will have more horsepower and torque....and...you will no longer run lean on fuel....due to C.A.R.B. standards...thats the performance foundation of the spyder...then if you want the quicker thottle response...add the commander..they work hand in hand...I have BOTH a stage II tune AND a commander...and they work great together.

what do you mean by runing lean due to CARB standards? Stock Spyders have a O&M and run like that? Do you have a AFR gauge on your bike?
-
Thanks for the feed back,I spoke with Steve today from Monsterfuelinjection, the stage 2 sounds nice. He explained that they can flash your ECU to a stage 1 tune or a stage 2 tune. Send it to him and the day he gets it he’ll flash it and send it back to you. Has anyone on here had it done it’s $500?

Yours might be different due to you being in europe...mine is in the United States..so I know it's C.A.R.B. de-tuned..

308gunner, did you have yours done by Monsterfuelinjection, and did you change anything else? thx for your feed back.
-
stage 2 rls cat delete you will love it
-
Thx fat boy, did you do the tune and cat at the same? I was wondering if the cat delete made much difference in performance and wether the tune made it louder or deleting the cat made in louder.
-
the tune will have no effect on loud cat delete is needed with stage 2 gives it a nice exhaust note
