Does anyone have any good products for keeping their black plastic trim looking nice, clean and fresh? Trying to keep up on the paint and trim on my '11 rss and my wifes '08 gs
Try products from Torque Detail. They have at least one (Plastic Restore) made for plastic (it doesn't turn white when it dries).
I feel that their products are a little costly, but they work as advertised and are easy to apply.
Maxima Oils SC1, Mothers Back to Black and Lamonsters Black Diamond Detailer; have used 'em all and they seem to be on a par with each other. I've found that Black Diamond Detailer in the aerosol can seems to waste a lot of product at the can nozzle.

I have tried every product listed here but they just don't last, or you constantly have to reapply them every few weeks to keep up the appearance.
Some of these products are no better than using linseed oil on it, yes I said Linseed oil, it's an old cheap car dealership fix to make the plastic look good for a few weeks until the car sells.
If you don't mind doing that every few weeks like some of these products will have you do, it's cheaper to buy the big bottle of linseed oil. hahaha
If you really want an impressive product that works and lasts try this: I find this works better than anything I have tried, Cerakote trim restore.
It's not cheap to buy but it lasts longer so in the long run it's actually cheaper.
I agree with boomerman. While the products I listed above are good, I think the constant exposure to UV rays ages the black plastic. That brings WTH into the argument: did I buy the Spyder to have a spotless, shiny garage queen or to ride the bloody thing. I did it for the latter so I apply the a something every so often and don't worry if it gets a little dull before I get around to applying it again.

Meguire's or mother's. How long does it last? Haven't paid any attention, I mean how long does it take? I ride as often as I can, but Spyder is pretty much spotless when I do. Just a thing with me.
There are many products on the market for that use, HOWEVER...if I were you rather than messing around with auto parts store
stuff, go to your local auto body and paint supply, the place where body shops get their supplies. Go in and ask the counter
guy what is best and lasts longest you will come out with about a pint of it for the same or less than all the rest, and it will be
the professional quality you need...
Only my opinion
