If I was buying a trailer to haul my Spyder I would look for one that I could use to load my Spyder without extra wood ramps etc. If I was using a trailer I already owned I guess I would use some wood ramps or what not to load the bike without bottoming the nose. I have a toy hauler camper and I raise the jack up front so as to lower the angle of the ramp so I can load at a minimum angle and this seems to be working so far.
Hi,
Where do I buy one? The Aluma 638 that is. The more I look, the more confused I become haha. Wide range of prices/models. Where’s the best place to buy from? Is it something that’s generally shipped to you or a local pick up thing?
I got the Aluma MC210 and it is perfect. No need for extra ramps because the main ramp is long. It also slides in under the deck so it doesn't destroy gas mileage.

I believe that fits the F3, but not the RT. I tried that with my Rt and the ramp was too narrow. I had to go with an Aluma 7 x 10.
Hello,
I am considering the same trailer. I went to look at it today with my Spyder. Do you use some sort of 2x6 or ramp to get the Spyder onto the trailer. My nose want to hit the ramp?
+1 on aluma I have 63x10 model no problem loading. A 2018 f3 s. trailer weighs approximately 425lbs I actually pulled trailer 70 miles. Back home with my 2018 f3s
Bike and Trailer.jpg Drop tail trailer works great. We went to Minnesota and back to florida last year and to Mass and back this year. No issues and it trailed really nice. We did Airbnb all the way and loved it. We would Stay a couple of days and ryde around and then load up and go to the next stop.
We just purchased an Aluma 638 for our 2018 Limited. Only have to make the front chocks in order for the cowling to clear.
It is very light and easy to move around.

I am curious about the length of the 638 trailer at: 8ft. The specs on the length of the Spyder F3 is 104in = 8.66 ft which would be .66 over the 8ft length of the trailer. I viewed your attached photo and your Spyder seems to fit well.
What am I missing here?

Look at the photo you see the front tires touch the front of the 8ft trailer and the nose of the Spyder hangs over about a foot or more. Same would happen on an F3, you use the front of the trailer as wheel stop.
I just picked up a folding trailer last week. I will have to do a couple of mods to it, but it should be a perfect fit. I hope to be able to leave the center wheel chock on so that I can use it to trailer my Vmax if needed. I will post pictures when I am done with the mods.

The distance from the front wheel chocks to the rear of the trailer is 7'-6". You can see that a F3T spyder would easily fit on a 8' trailer. This is my modified 2 bike trailer.

I am getting a 2020 Spyder RT Limited and currently plan to get a Continental Cargo trailer from a dealer in Richmond, VA. Closest dealer I could find. I plan to use it as the garage in the winter here in WV and to haul it to MN for the summer. I appreciate all the postings as it helped me make a decision.
Will - You didn't mention what size trailer you're getting. My experience is that my 2019 RTL (spec sheet says 5' 2.5" wide) would not fit through the door opening on my Pace 6 X 12 cargo trailer. Measure what ever you decide to buy to be positive the Spyder will fit. I ended up getting a 7 X 14 all aluminum tandem axle trailer.
There is a place near Sneadville, TN that has Kiefer flatbed aluminum trailers that the F3 will fit perfectly on leaves about 1 in room on each side of the wheels. Mine is great and I tow it with a 2019 Ford Flex with no issues. paid $800+ tax new for it. They are manufactured in Sneadville, TN. 5x8
