What do you mean wouldn't Sync up?
-
It wouldn't allow the PV to tie itself to the bike
ie: once it syncs to bike its licensed to that bike only ,unless you buy more unlock codes.
-
Sounds like you will be sending in the ECU. Updates probably will not work.

My Power Vision 3 cable has the power pin in location 4.

looking at my plug your un circled pin is actually #6
I have in pin 1 white brown pin 2 white black pin 3 black pin 4 orange red pin 5 red yellow pin 6 empty
first cable they sent had pins in 1-2-3 -6
So no connection to bike
New cable has pins in 1-2-3-4
So now it sees bike but still wont Flash to PV
It reads vin but wont make a PV_info file
What is pin 5 used for ?
DJ only uses 4 pins for connection ?

Your right I went back and corrected my numbering. New PV3 cable only has 4 pins no pin in #5 position T.P.

Ok I finally think I got it sorted out
I was able to install tune 2505601.djt onto bike without having to send in unit
Had to delete 4 files off of unit thru "this pc" as just deleting thru PV wasn't working.
Also installed em just thru"this pc" as trying to load em from PV software wasn't cutting it.
-
Have you had a chance to try it out yet and please post on what you think about it
-
Well Just took for a quick loop and Yes noticeable difference .
Upped the power to give me an extra gear to play with .
Since I row my own I usually blast around in third on the backroads as 4th leaves it lugging .
Well 4th is now usable where as before it would of needed 3rd to keep it in the revv's .
So happy camper here .
Best is no sending away for a change , easy to reset to stock .

I only have found 2 files 2505400 as the stock tune and *2505401djt as the flash tune. ?

I got tune direct from dynojet .
Was emailing em back and forth .
they first sent me 500 & 501 but I couldn't get that to take
They then sent me the 600 and 601 which worked .
You can PM your email and I can send em to ya if you want em .

For those of you who went from a PCV to a PV3, did you gain anything in driveability? The PV3 certainly looks like a tuners tool, but what about the simplicity of the PCV ? Are the provided maps that much different before tweaking? Just curious.. Thx

wow....tell us your performance results....power off the line acceleration...top speed if possible...shifting...tell us more...I have the Monster Stage II.

139 MPH rear axle on the PV3 Now I have never drove that fast but the tuner has that info.

Do you still use 87 octane with the PV3 map ?

Basically the same thoughts as post #33, My throttle response is a lot crisper and no lag like it used to have. Pulls a lot harder through all the gears particularly at the top end. Not sure if the speed limiter has been changed but the redline was raised on the tach. I may have gotten it up to 180kmph with more to give but decided that was good enough for me on that hypothetical day. I have no experience with Monster so don't have anything to compare it to, but I'm happy with my decision to get this tuner.

I have just purchased a PV3 for my Trike … 2018 F3 … same problem as most in this post... didn't have correct jumper cable... won't work with PV software .. just thru USB cable to "see" files. DynoJet came back, after a few back and forth, send in your ECU. PV3 doesn't "see" any tune files after hooked up with proper cables.
So … after you deleted or removed SOME files off your PV3, when hooked up to Trike, your PV3 saw the tuner files ?????

This is still happening? Old/non current stock that doesn't have the corrected cables ?

Is the issue with an incorrect jumper cable being sent? Just got this reply back from DynoJet.

All Spyder units come with the base cable and the jumper cable so you have both options covered. Thanks.

Again …. I purchased my PV3 … from DynoJet … for my Trike … 2018 F3 …
CORRECT CABLE WAS NOT INCLUDED
PC WILL NOT "SEE" PV3
ONCE CORRECT "JUMPER" CABLE WAS SENT, STILL WILL NOT "PAIR"
DYNOJET ANSWER "SENT US YOUR ECU"
I'm going to send in because at this point I am stuck … no STOCK codes for Trike.. and no "Performance" tunes available....

I guess I was one of the lucky ones, mine came with the correct cable and jumper and sync'd up to my 2019 F3 Limited with no problems. Currently, there is only a stock improved map available for my bike. Hopefully, Dynojet will be developing more specific tunes for different exhaust systems etc., but the stock improved tune is a good improvement over the map that came on the F3 from the factory.

For those of you running the PV3, are any of you running a cat delete/K&N air filter + drilled holes in air cleaner lid ? Curious as to how that works?
