I have a 2013er model an the Support Plate Assy has changed into new item.
705 00 6778 was old - the new is 705 00 8211.
Does anyone know the difference between the two parts..
The video shown does not help - the mirrors from the RT are also different

If you go to the last post on that link you will see the plate for an ST the first two videos are RT but the last post shows an ST and where the spring clips are and the area that can be a problem and break. The only difference is the part number changed as far as the number go. that will happen from year to year sometime its the same part.

It's to bad you can't put a set of magic mirrors on that, they work great on the RT!!!

Good luck, should be no difference. but one or more of the 3 tabs at the top may be broken on your base plate. https://www.spyderlovers.com/forums/...=magic+mirrors

It`s me again...
Yesterday I received the new support plates for my mirrors..
I tried to find out the difference between the "old" and the "new" version and compared them - there ist no difference.
Now i have mounted the new items and the mirrors dont shake any longer..
May be the the clamps (spring in support plate) are tired..
