I've been using an automotive TomTom XXL on the spyder for the past 3 yrs.
Built a mount with an X-Grip and a Ram ball. It charges thru a GPS connection.
Just this past month I upgrades to a Garmin 396. I really like the features and the bright screen.

I have been using a Garmin Nuvi 1490 since 2010 or there abouts. Have gone thru 3 of them but they have a combined miles 130,000+ on them. This model mis discontinued but you can find them used or refurbished.

I worked with a friend yesterday who has a Garmin 396 and I found its screen size too small for my old eyes in comparison to my Zumo 590. Interesting aside, the founder of Garmin, Gary Burrell passed away last week.

otherwise be a vulgar brawl.

Size does matter! I definitely will need a bigger screen. Cataract surgery eliminated my glasses but I still need readers so a big screen is required.

I've been using a old Tom Tom Go automotive GPS. Eventually I will have to replace it because they aren't making parts or even power cords for it anymore. But I hate to spend nearly a grand for a GPS for my Spyder.

When my Zumo 550 dies I will have to look for other options, until then I use the daylights out of it.
Need to do more traveling
