Picked up my 900 yesterday. Have knee surgery on Mon. Bummer.
I have been a fly on the wall for awhile here absorbing the posts on the Ryker and finally bit the bullet.
I picked up my 900 yesterday from Don's Kawasaki in Hallam, Pa, after waiting 3 weeks for all my little accessories from Slingmod and Lamonster Garage to arrive.
This is my first (on road, outta metal barrier experience) and I could not stop smiling. Now I have to put it in storage for approx.
6-8 weeks since I'm getting knee surgery on 4/1. BUMMER! I am so looking forward to June. At least my summer isn't ruined.
I cannot wait to to get my second ride and more to follow. Anyway, Hello all.

Not to worry, if you're like me you'll be riding long before you're supposed to. While you're in recovery review the "DO's and DONT's." The Ryker is kind of hard to tip over so you can for sure ride it and even have fun with weak knees. Just be careful getting on and off. Compared to a 2 wheeler, it's like flying an easy chair down the road, even a caveman can do it.

Be aggressive with your post surgical therapy. When it hurts and you want to quit look out the window at the Ryker and do another rep.

Heal quickly and hoping you get your full-er mobility back.

Good luck with your surgery. Do your PT as directed and you'll do fine.
I had a left TKR done on 3/11/19 and was back riding on 3/29/19. Be careful getting on/off the trike, that's the trickiest part.

Thank you. That sounds promising. I'm not looking forward to the therapy but I know it's part of the package.

Congratulations on your new RYDE.
I like it.
Wish you well and a speedy recovery on your knee.

Good luck with your surgery. I had total knee replacement on each and i was able to ride in 3-4 weeks. I have a RT SE6 so no clutching needed when the left was done. Be sure to do all your rehab exercises, no slacking and it should go well for you.

on your Ryker and good luck with your surgery. Dale

I had a ruptured Quad tendon on my right knee Oct 2018. Just go on my Spyder for the first time this past Saturday. Had a great time. The only problem that I had and that was minor, getting on and off the Spyder and that was me just being extra careful. Do your PT and you will be fine.
Good luck and safe riding

I totally destroyed my right wrist creating my avatar. I did physical therapy for about 6 months and made some good progress but finally my progress plateaued. Somehow when I bought my Rally in January my wrist progress began to improve again. Stay with it brother.
