Lamonster. a Ryker suggestion
CanAm provides multitudes of colors for the panels for the Ryker. But there is one glaring omission...carbon fiber. I would buy that in a second. I bet others would to.

You can get Carbon Black upper panels ($249) and Carbon Black Hood ($199). I think the white hood might become popular.

A less expensive route would be to wrap your existing panels with a carbon fiber product such as this.

Right now I'm looking into hydro-dip. These guys are right down the street from me and they have a glowing base that will glow for 5 hours on a 15 minute charge.

What is hydro-dip? And if I get the vinyl wrap, what type of shop would do the work?
This is something else I am considering

Basically they float the paint in water and then dip the parts in. Will conform to all nooks and cranies and a lumps and bumps. But unlike wraps it is not removable...

I just put a deposit on a Ryker Rally. I may have to hydro dip it to match my DR650. I had those plastics hydro dipped last spring

Eventually we will have a nice variety of products available in a variety of colors including our popular textured carbon fiber and our new Alligator skin. Getting our hands on the bike has been a challenge.

Hey Pete, I see you are in Erie, Pa. Would you do a ride & wrap on my Rally? I was thinking if I make an appointment and ryde over, you can wrap and I could ryde back home the same day! What do you think? cueman

I like how those panels look. What does it cost to do that? I am not too keen on the matte black paint on the Ryker.

It wasn't cheap. Around $600Cdn all in. There are handguards missing from the pic.
I had bought brand new black plastics. The $600 was for hydro-dipping. Plastics were extra.
The hydro dipping process was as follows:
1. Sandblast to remove any manufacturing solvents
2. Apply primer
3. Apply light base coat with a little metal flake
4. Apply another base coat with lots of flake
5. Apply coat of candy red
6. Hydro Dip in smoke pattern
7. Clear Coat
Plastics were sanded after each step.
Paint shops offering hydro-dipping will have a whole catalogue of patterns. The shop I used had the same setup as the video depicted a few posts up. The dipping process was identical.

For cosmetics, about the only thing I want to change is to go naked with the front wheels. I've seen one done that way on YouTube and it looked good but seems like sacrilege to do it during the first month I own it. Maybe next month
It's funny BRP put the street rear fender on the Rally and the off road fender on the street bikes. The naked rear tire on the Rally does look boss but totally a PITA to clean after being off the pavement
For mechanical stuff, a high range gear for highway cruising would be nice. The 900 could easily pull a much taller gear and run lower RPM and higher MPG.
