Newbies from sunny Florida
Greetings fellow Spyder owners! My wife and I bought a new 2018 RT Saturday after Thanksgiving. So far, we are loving it! We are both long time Harley riders. Sold one of our Harleys and bought the RT. Wife was having difficulty riding due to balance issues...I am keeping my bike for now, but have ridden then Syder, AND rode on the back! Very comfortable.
Joined here because I am a DIY guy. Been wrenching on everything for over 40 years, so looking to learn the new tech here! Cheers!

Welcome to the group. Many DIY members here for your questions. Air pressure is important for a good ride. A shop manual is available for the Spyder.

Welcome to the Spyder world. Bought my 2017 Spyder just after my 74th birthday. Took a 1000 or so miles to become accustomed to it. Now I zip along at 70+ mph. 15,000 miles so far the first year. Great to still be riding.

Welcome and congratulations. We live in Port Richey. My wife has a Yamaha Stryker and I have a Spyder RTS. We moved here from TX back in June. Her folks live in Dunedin and we lived in Gulfport for awhile right after we got married back in the 90's.
These forums can be very helpful. The Spyder is a different sort of critter. We've done most routine maintenance on 2-wheelers ourselves and I used to have a whole fleet of ATVs/snow mobiles/jon boats/farm equipment that I did a lot of maintenance and repairs on, but I take the Spyder to the shop if it needs any work.

Congratulations Clayvis! I own an ‘18 RTL and absolutely love it, I’m sure you’ll have a blast. The passenger seat is extremely comfortable! My son fell asleep on a ride, I sit back there when riding solo and at a beach etc. Lucky for you that Florida has tons of Spyders and Spyder RC’s. US Spyder Ryders Original RC is the Central Florida Chapter. Great officers & members. If you’re interested click on the below link, then “Chapters” and look/click on Central Florida.
This is a great forum for new Spyder owners, I’ve received tons of Tips/Tricks and advice. You should start by checking out “Do’s and Don’ts” on this forum, helps many people.
Best of luck!
