Most of the time I'll catch people looking at the bike. Then they want to stand and talk about it. It fascinates some folks.

The most common question I get asked is "How fast will it go?". My response is "I don't know but so far it has gone as fast as I've wanted it to." and then we talk about other things.

On the older bikes: I'd just point to the Speedometer that went all the way to 200, and I'd let their imaginations do the rest!

I usually ask them what they ride...
When they tell me (from inside their car!), that they don't have one; I usually laugh, and say:
    "That's what I thought!"

Not offended here! It's better than the ignorant comments from guys (mostly) who make fun of it because it has 3 wheels.

In either case, I worry less, ryde more!

Damn! I never got either card. Am I being discriminated against?

Oh, and when people come up to me to ask about the Spyder, I tell them about why I like it. Mostly this happens on my longer solo trips. Sometimes people are impressed that I, being of the female persuasion, ride alone. Often its a couple that come up to chat, making every break a few minutes longer. He rode as a kid, and she always wanted to ride. Maybe my few minutes promoting Spyders will win us few more members!

I just tell them (cruiser types) I'll race them for ownership titles. 1/4 mile or twisties. Or, see who can last longest in the saddle. Then they get interested and less arrogant.

I would not be offended, but then again if I really cared what people think, I would have bought a Harley.

Love my Spyder, don't care what anyone thinks.

I like the OP's sense of humor, hopefully people have picked up on it.

Sad part is that there are those snowflakes that literally will get all uppity and offended over anything someone says. They should be rounded up and fenced in somewhere far away so as to not bother the rest of us.

Most of the comments I get are out of curiosity about the machine. I do occasionally get someone who wants to take a closer look at how the whole thing works and asks questions about quality and how the various systems work. The latter are usually long time riders or gear heads. I have had a few smart a$$ comments, but they usually come from some idiot who just wants to show off for his buddies. I figure their collective IQ's don't add up to much and just look at them as future organ donors as they tear out on their obviously superior machines

I remember one time when my wife and I were at a dealer that carried snowmobile parts that I needed for maint. work and while we waited, the wife said "look hun, they sell those three- wheeled things!" and I said ,yeh I think they are called "Spyders". Well a salesman must of heard us talking about them and came over and explained the benefits of the three-wheeled design, and I said, yep I can see the reasoning behind those but we ride a Gold Wing now and I really don't see no reason to own one and I guess they would be great for someone that has everything and wants something else to add to their collection or if someone is handicapped I.E. lost a limb, can't balance a two-wheeler, or some other limitation, I could see the reason to buy one and that would be a great reason to have one. Weeeeeeell, three years later I broke my Rt. leg just below the knee in 8 places and a year later, I had major Lt. foot reconstruction. Moral of the story...... I'm still eating my words!!!! And yes, I go to that dealership to have my rear tire(s) mounted and say " I know... I'm not worthy!! Mac
