Loop of western states
I'm leaving Nashville on June 4th for a trip to the following states:
SD, ND, WY, MT, ID, WA, OR, CA, NV, CO, AZ, NM, TX and OK. I'm also making a short jaunt into Mexico and BC Canada. Planning till July 8th.
Anyone interested in details, please PM me. (join trip or just a companion for a leg)
This is serious. Possible camping and hotels planned. Along with many sites.

I hope you can do TX, OK, ND, SD first so the rest of your trip is more enjoyable...<G> Just kidding from a guy who spent 17 years in TXOK, and now lives next to SDND...
May your trip be full of adventures and lacking in trials and tribulations! Sounds like a great road trip.

Last I checked TX & OK are in the Midwest.

Yah.... Utah has some of the very best rides in the west. Along with Oregon and Washington. And then there's Montana.....I could go on and on..... Seems to me you don't have enough time planned for a good "quality" ride of our western area. But, an ambitious undertaking and should be fun.

Steak or ride along
Not sure if I will be in state when your coming through or even if you are coming through bakersfield. But I will offer up my home if you want to stop and clean up along with a steak and a beer if it works into your schedule.
Or would love to join you for a few miles if my spyder is ready by the time you come through.

You’ll want to knock out AZ, NV and Mexico as quickly as possible, definitely don’t wait until July unless you really like riding in an oven.

If you don't have one, I would suggest a cooling vest. During that time of year you will be needing one. My wife and I have ridden in 90+ weather many times and a cooling vest makes a huge difference .
Enjoy your trip sounds like fun, just not very long for that many states, the west is some BIG country.

... Motorcycles are kind of like Baskin Robbins... You're looking at 31 flavors of ice cream, don't you kind of want to know what they all taste like?...

My wife and I toured the South West back in the early 80's on a budget of less than $20 a day. It was McDonalds and KOA's all the way. Fun times but we were young then and could weather anything thrown at us. Those afternoon thunder storms were a God sent. I believe if I looked hard enough today I could still find some of that red sand somewhere down in the bottom corner if my sleeping bag. We had more than just a couple of close calls on that trip so stay alert and ride safe.

I forgot Utah
I'm sorry folks but Utah is on my trip. I just forgot, I knew I was missing something.
Thanks to all of you for the advice. I will check the offers of lay overs against my proposed trip.
Please see below for what I currently have. Rough but almost there.
Well, my PDF of trip out of Furkot is too big to load. E-Mail me and I'll send a copy of PDF.
Thanks for responses,

What about ...
The geographic center of the United States is a point approximately 20 mi (32 km) north of Belle Fourche, South Dakota (Lat. 44 58 02.07622(N) Long. 103 46 17.60283(W)). It has been regarded as such by the U.S. National Geodetic Survey (NGS) since the additions of Alaska and Hawaii to the United States in 1959. It is also an interesting stop if you are in the Black Hills area.
