What U-Haul have you used to move your Spyder. Size and Type? Any thing Extra I might need.... ramps, tie-downs etc.

U-Haul list the measurements of what they rent on their Web site ...... Then you need to call for availability from your pick-up point ..... Mike

    Hi Chris,

    Re: U-Haul for Spyder??

Last year I rented a 6 x 12 flat bed trailer from them. They only provided the trailer & made sure my electrical connection would work.

They were most helpful & I would use them again.

They might provide straps, etc but I had my own.

I had to use three long 2 x 6's to get the Spyder onto the trailer.

Default Uhaul didn't work for me

I called uhaul and stressed how wide my spyder was. Uhaul said the
5 x 8 would work.. not trusting them I brought a tape measure.

5x8 is only 4'6" wide. Plus spyder is to long. So I looked at the 6x10
Ramp and opening were only 4'6" but interior was almost 6'10. So couldnt load it.

Be very careful believing the measurements given. It's your wasted time not theirs.

I ended up calling a tool/equipment rental and got a 8x12 with a full ramp and plenty of tie downs

    Phil
