Back from Sturgis
Well Im back from Sturgis and totaled 2400 miles put on the Spyder. Rode everyday and waved at a lot of other Spyders. Weather was great. Only problem I had was the belt tensioner spring broke and caused the bad vibe to come back. My gas mileage was all over the place. Worst was 22 MPG and best was 32 MPG. Went to Bad lands, Devils Tower, Mt Rushmore, Crazy Horse, and all the curvy roads I could find.
Only regret I had was to get a GOPRO. Such a nice beautiful ride around there. I hope all the other Spyder owners had as much fun as I did...

I'm surprised your mileage was so low. Is yours a 998 or 1330?

Recently in SD
My wife and I were recently in the Black Hills and had a wonderful time ( first real vacation in a while). 2 weeks in SD and Cody, WY. The motorcycle museum in Sturgis was very cool----- it even had a reverse trike by Indian. Also a perfectly restored Honda 305 Super Hawk( but it looked so small). One of my first "real" motorcycles. Highly modified and would hand bigger bikes their lunch.

I have the 998. And i am definitely up grading to led head lights. I was a bit nervous ridding at night. I was saved by buying a air hawk pad as my bum was really bummed.

Do they have a designated parking area for Spyders & Trikes? I've noticed the bikes are parked very close to one another.

you have to get to main street fairly early in the morning to park on main street before it fills up

Sturgis
There are a few areas as they will park trikes and others separate. I always tried to make sure I wasn't going to get pinned in. 20170805_103224.jpg20170805_105652.jpg
