Spyderquest is in September. We should have a better idea soon when registration will open up.

This will be my first Spyderquest. Which is cleaner/nicer, the GEL or the Ramada?

I'm certainly open to doing so. We CT riders should put something together before September...

Consider this:

Or PM me and we might set something up. I'm way in the western part of the state. I can spit into NY. (and we all should).

I'm all registered (#23 I think). What are the parking and security arrangements like at GEL, by the way? All the security/theft-related threads are making me worry, probably uselessly.

The parking is in the front and on the side of the GEL. In all the years I don't think there has been any problems. The bikes are not visible from the road.

The only problem I've ever had at GEL's parking lot is space. The place is so popular, it's hard to get a parking spot if you get home late from anything.

In the two times we have been to SpyderQuest, we stayed at GEL and had no problems whatsoever. Like Mike, I met and talked with the security guards, and I felt comfortable that they were really keeping an eye on things. Now, having said that, I put a full cover on the trailer and used a cable to lock it to a light pole. I also put a full cover on the Spyder every night, not just because of the rain, but also for a little more security. I don't think that you really need to worry. Also, that week in September is when there is a big car show in Lake George, - great cars BTW - and a bigger police presence, not just local but state as well. Pretty well covered.

Thanks folks, that is very reassuring. I guess I'm going to take a half cover and a cable lock to keep it on, but I'm not going to worry about getting an alarm system or anything like that.
