did you see this armed robbery on the news

some people were bad mouthing this kid on facebook tonight, they were saying he took too long to give the robber the cash out of the draw. i think staying calm was the right thing to do. i also just noticed something that i didn't see on tv. the guys gun was jammed. i am sure the kid didn't see it, but it was better off he didn't. they said they caught the guy the next day.

He was probably calm because it was so obvious that the slide did not go all the way forward, so a round was not chambered. The pistol could not be fired.

like i said in my above post, on the news i didn't see the gun was jammed, but when i watched it on youtube i saw it. but what really surprises me is, not one person on all the news i watch, picked it up showing the video

Safety issues. Spyder riders sometimes stop at Jimmy Johns. Just a warning that a robbery could be in progress and they should be situationaly aware.

Worked in retail for 29 years. Happy to say that I never had an armed robbery situation, although I did have a couple break in's.

The manager that trained me not so lucky. He had an armed robbery and refused to give up the cash. Got shot in the stomach and was killed.

The Jimmy Johns employee was very calm with the gun stuck in his face like that. Probably did not even think about gun being jammed or not.

The kid did what he flet that he had to do to survive...
...and I'm glad that they caught that scumbag!
