2015 F3-S, is this a good buy...
...it's being sold by owner and they are asking $13,500? Is there anything about the 2015's I should be aware of (mechanically, or rider experienced) that's different than the 2016 and 2017's?
Mileage: 6,000
Overall Condition: Excellent
Farkles: ISO Hand Grip, Windshield (?)
F3-S SE
Thanks

Have any Farkles been added...
But since it's a 2015: there was a TSB concerning a frame re-inforcement at the leading edge of the seat. You may want to check to make sure that this has been addressed...
Good luck, and happy shopping!
Thanks Bob. I updated with additional information.

sounds like a good deal
I have a 2015 F3-S myself with nearly 28K miles -- no issues other than the frame service bulletin and I also swapped out the rear shock for the 2-up shock (about $130).
We now have His and Hers Spyders!
Current Spyder: White 2015 F3-S SE6
His Spyder: White 2015 F3 SE6
Previous Spyder: 2012 RT Limited SE5 -- 30,300 miles
Previous rides: Kawasaki & Honda

Make sure the frame recall update has been done. Is this am SE or SM ? Good price for and SE. SM should drop another $500 - $1,000.
I'd also put he two up shock on the rear as the stock shock contributes to frame fatigue. This is the same issue on all model year F3's... the F3 and F3S models all come with the same crappy rear shock.
Other than that I wouldn't hesitate to buy it if the price is right. Check warranty and maybe buy the extended BEST.

Spyder #2 - 2012 RT SM5. Traded in after 24,000 miles.
Spyder #3 - 2015 F3 SM6. Put 13,000 miles on and sold it.
Spyder #4 - 2017 F3 SM6. Too good of a deal to pass up!

Also, depending on date of mfg, it may also require an updated Transmission Gear Position Sensor. Mine with a mfg date of 6/15 did..... I only have 3600 miles on mine (injuries are a b1tch!) but they have all been "hooligan" miles and it is holding up well.
OP, as others have stated, service records are key in these situations.

Interesting.. I had not heard of the GPS issue. Was it for both SM and SE models?

Dan,
From what's been reported in here: the sensors seem to get fouled with oil (during installation???), and fail quickly...
I've got a buddy up here; who has had his replaced twice.
If they're going to fail: they seem to do it quickly. This issue may have already sorted itself out.

Thanks everyone, this is really good info and I'll will be asking these questions tomorrow. Was the GPS repair expensive or was it covered under warranty?

If it falls under the service campaign it will be a warranty repair.
