Air scoops
Installed them on my 2014 RTS and have been happy ever since. You will find that the heat is no longer in your glove box or between the glove box and seat. MUCH cooler.

They do work. Interesting how such a simple thing can make such a difference. I know that they - along with the other work done as part of the 2013 RT recall - made a huge difference with the heat problems on my 2013 RTL. You will be glad that you did it.

Covers
Make sure the plastic caps that cover the holes for the two bolts are seated properly. They are a little bit of a bugger to get clipped in. I saw a lot of pictures of the new vents and those covers were missing.

No, they only come in gloss/flat black. You can, however, paint them to match the color of your Spyder.

I have a 2011 RTL that I have to park outside the garage after long rides until the gas smell goes away. This happens when the gas tank heats up on longer rides and boils the gas. I am hoping this air scoop kit may solve my heat buildup problem. If I can't get BRP to supply the kit I'll get it from the Powersports Warehouse for $46.89.

If you haven't already consider removing the 2 splash pans under the engine for even better air flow with the scoops.

I removed the two splash pans a couple years ago. It helped a little but not enough. Hoping the air scoop kit is the answer for my heat problem.

I'm sure they will. Just by looking out the outline of these and how their installed it only makes sense that everything will be cooler. [emoji1303]

They have to be oriented correctly. Then they will pop in easily.

A few of us were Telling BRP in these threads a few years ago that the Acoustic Panels OVER the cylinder heads did NOT make a whole lot of sense BUT it kept the sound down some? It proves they do listen- sometimes- If you do put on the Vents Make sure you Put the Kit Braces where the acoustic panels once were or ???

I bought my kit from there. Sadly i've not been able to find a picture of the kit yet. Shipping was a little slow (Took about a week to get it out) and way over priced IMO but I think they lower their actual product price and charge higher shipping, still under $70 and cheapest I could find.
You'll get the following:
1 x Bag of screws, bolts, nuts and caps
2 x scoops
2 x scoop covers
2 x scoop front fins
2 x structural bars
2 x foam pieces with heat tape already applied.
Get your BRP and walk through from Doc Riverside. I had my dealer cut my panels, only cost me $50. They already have the tool and what some may call a template supplied from BRP.

2012 RT, Template for Air Scoop and Instructions?
First of all, I want to thank EVERYONE for sharing their info.
I have a 2012 RT-S and I just received the Air Scoop Kit, I believe everything is here, scoops, screws, and the 2 structural bars.
Does anyone have the instructions and the template for installation. At this time, I rather do this myself. Will probably use a dremel tool to do the cutting. But I just want to get as much information as possible just to make things easier. Any help will be deeply appreciated.
My email address is zdarkman@gmail.com
Thank you.
