I was installing my gps. The dealer showed me how easy it was to remove the mirrors. I was able to remove it without problems. Took several tries to get it back on and secure. I was going to add something else I got the mirror off easy and thought well this is better. During second install I snapped the top clip right off and naturally the bottom wouldn't attach. Lucky the dealer keeps a stock of the clips. Makes me think they break a lot more than they admit. Small shop in rural America. I don't think I had 1000 miles on it yet. Couldn't believe they had such a weak crappy design to hold them on. Counting the days until your site and shipping go live.
Thank you again

Russ,
When you start shipping these kits: will we receive a notification (with a tracking number)?
Thanks!

Russ, on the website, you have a quantity button to order. Is "1" a set for both mirrors or for one mirror?
Just wanted to be sure before I ordered.

Just a thought -- I assume your testers haven't reported any issues with the Spyder electronics, and I wouldn't expect that.
We do have some members using liquid-filled compasses. If they use the mirror magnets they will want to swing their compass and create a new compass card for deviations.
I also suspect standing next to retrofitted mirrors with a billfold full of credit cards is not suggested....

hi bob
went to po today and it seems the poverty pack post may not have tracking numbers
its still air freight but just aust post....but will let you know when posting
hi mister p
the kit you will get is for both mirrors
re interference.... (see testimonials on website)
the magnets are really strong but their field is not all that far(maybe a couple of inches or so).....if you buy and they dont suit your application then of course full refund......read peter aawens review on website re handling magnets...they do bite
if you have a magnetic compass then either dont buy...or lose the compass then buy
re credit cards...i keep my wallet in the small glove box and my cards all work
some reviews now on website www.magicmirrors.shop and pricing is a little clearer (esp for multiple orders......shipping was a nightmare so has been cleaned up...all prices are now "landed")
thanks russ

Russ
I just read through the reviews and there is quite a bit about handling the magnets due to their strength when installing them
Any chance you are planning to put a video out on you tube showing how to handle and install them correctly, I have found you other videos on the Mirror Mounts very useful
Looking forward to getting my set sometime in March
Thanks

sorry if you thought I was complaining, far from it. Just commenting on magnetic field effects that some may not have thought about. I think you have a great product here.

hi paul
no not at all
our testers voiced the same concerns
given that..they are magnets and do magnetic things
thanks

Just a little more about the 'magnetic fields' & their impact on anything - during the testing I did, I tried a LOT of things to see if there was any interference caused or from them; compasses, radios, speakers, wiring, putting credit cards on the dash or mirror or in the glove box, all sorts of stuff, & couldn't find ONE THING that they upset once they were mounted (I did kill an old card when I swiped it on the un-mounted mirror mounts tho!) So I spoke to a few people at the local Uni's & in a couple of Engineering Firms who work in the field (pun intended ) about this, even took the Spyder down for them to check out; & was informed that, because of the design of the magnets & the way they are mounted onto the Spyder (effectively 'blocking' the further 'spread' of the magnetic fields beyond their mountings (my descriptive terms, not theirs, but you don't want another page of text, do you?!)) there is only an extremely small chance, once they are installed & the mirrors mounted, that they'll have any impact or effect on anything that's not mounted directly on or within a couple of inches of them.
They ALL basically said the way the magnets are mounted make it very unlikely they'll upset anything else on the Spyder, altho I didn't specifically ask about any mounted magnetic compasses. However, since this response supported & explained the results of all the testing I'd done, I was pretty happy with that. And I hafta say, these Magic Mounts have been one of the best ideas I've seen for improving my Spyder, & one of the easiest things to fit & use I've ever come across, as well as being soooo much better than the OE placcy 'pellets' & spring wire arrangement!
