Maybe not when you're going out of your way to make your Spyder do donuts like Shawn was in that particular ^ vid!!

But it's just like ryding in the rain - you'll be fine if you take appropriate care; ryde sensibly within your capabilities & comfort zone; ryde at a sensible speed for the conditions; & the snow or rain isn't really all that heavy, deep, or covering black ice!! Always ryde to the conditions & you shouldn't ever have too much in the way of hassles!

Yep, get some good tires on it & ryde sensibly, & fresh dry snow on a Spyder can be an absobloominfantastic ball, can't it?!? Not that we see all that much of it here in Oz, but those of us with Spyders who've lived &/or worked above the snowline & made the effort to ryde whenever we can really don't take all that long to learn to appreciate the extra stability & downright FUN the Y factor can add!

My GS would not go through that sticky slushy stuff. The back wheel just spun for me on the slightest hill. Glad you had an okay ride back.

Yep - HEAPS of brands & tires in sizes that work, treads patterns & compounds that perform, beads that match, higher load & speed ratings, consistency of construction that far exceeds the dubious quality of the Kenda rubbish, & Waaaayy better traction, ride, handling, tread life, & even noise levels than you'll get from the Kenda's!

    AK:
Unfortunately, it's a moot issue here. The dealer will only install OEM Kendas and preaches the BRP line on that subject. I don't want someone messing with my who does not know how to properly remove the rear wheel. Fronts no issue--but I get 20K plus out of the Kendas. Held hostage by the dealer for sure on this one.
