A Clean Slate No More...
I installed a new California Scientific Tinted Shorty Windshield over the weekend, and then I jumped on the freeway to test it. Much better than the stock windshield at speed; the buffeting from the old windshield was really strong, and the new windshield tamed it right down.

No, I don't wear shorts and flip-flops to ride in. Only to sit and grin for the pic.

Just installed the same one a couple of weeks ago. I had the same experience as you.
This shields a keeper for me.

My 2016 Spyder RT Limited - Let the farkling begin!
I'm shifting this topic to my new 2016 RT Limited. I bought it last week and it's still virgin territory. So, I've been busy online ordering goodies!
- Doc Humphrie's belt tensioner, and the tensioner too!
- Lamonster's LED headlights and foglights
- Tricled's dual color DRLs, upper and lower
- Tricled's best safety package
- Calsci's RT medium windshield
- Wrapmyspyder's Barbedwire lightning set in red
The wrap kit and tensioner adapter have arrived, but it's not warm enough to put on the decals and no tensioner yet. This is probably a good thing, seeing as how this is Christmas Eve and my sweet wife would murderate me if I was out there and not helping get ready for the invasion tomorrow!

Farkling my new 2016 RT-L

Personally, I went with the Custom Dynamics High Mount Brake Light with low light for visibility and the brighter light to tell the person behind me that I was braking.
I'm going a different route this time on my new 2016 RT-L. The first set of pictures is my 2012 RT-L. I really like TricLED's DuaRT saddle bag rear run/brake/yellow turn signals, for exactly the reasons you mentioned. It will be my next purchase, and perhaps the CD high mount brake light or the equivalent.

Starting the Wrap
I selected the Barbedwire Lightning wrap in red reflective material from wrapmyspyder.com, and I was finally able to work on it a bit this afternoon. I'm stoked!
I added some pics to my album - Myron's 2016 RT Limited

Farkles!
Here's a few pics that I took tonight, after installing lights and the Wrapmyspyder reflective decals.
