How many Spyders are over 100,000 miles?
One of the questions I am often asked is how long a Spyder will last. So I am curious, how many of you have put a Spyder over 100,000 miles? I know there are a few, but it would be nice to get a better feel for how many units are truly over 100,000 miles. Of course it is possible, but is it truly probable? Is it a realistic expectation for most Spyders to reach 100,000 miles (within a reasonable amount of time, like 10 years)? Cheers!
2021 RT Limited - Deep Marsala Red – 20,000 miles
2013 ST-S SE-5 - Circuit Yellow – 72,000 miles
2008 GS SM-5 Premier Edition #006 - Full Moon – 38,000 miles
2015 F3-S SM-6 - Can-Am Red Solid Gloss – 12,000 miles - SOLD
2008 GS SM-5 Premier Edition #659 - Full Moon – 34,000 miles - SOLD

I know that Spyderjockey is well over that mark; with his GS...

I am thinking there are under five that are documented on SL.
It might be difficult to determine because most trade them off well before the 100,000 mark is reached.
I have had five, but the most miles so far was 36,500 before I traded "up" to a 2014 1330 RTS.
My current rides both have only 21K and 23K. Not considering getting the F3 LTD that I was talking about a few months back. Will see if I exceed my 36.5K "record" this go around.
Currently Owned: 2019 F3 Limited, 2020 F3 Limited: SOLD BOTH LIMITEDS in October of 2023.

If you don't slow down, they can't catch you..
If you don't give up, they can't win.
What a long strange journey its been.

Again: he did it on multiple bikes. The original question was about how many Spyders have exceeded 100,000 miles...
...Not how many Spyder riders have accomplished it.

Knew he lost his GS early on and thought he bought another one and just rode it.

I'm glad that they fixed that glitch; even though it's never been an issue for me!
Thanks for that video!
He knew it was going to happen. Thats why he took the video.
Don't think it will be an issue for me either.

I should hit 100,000 by the 3 year mark on my 2014 RT, I'm at 76,500 and getting ready to put about 8,000 more on it in June. Other than Spyderjockey I don't know anyone who hit 100,000 on their 998 with original engine.

Those were two of the five I was thinking about--but both got replacement engines--so that may muck up the situation a bit.

The bike itself has been very dependable and essentially trouble free, it has become part of the family. We are looking forward to the Homecoming next year and should have around 135,000 miles on it, by then, if all goes well.
Still love my Spyder!!!!!
Joe and I look forward to seeing you in Quebec.

Milage
Has anybody heard from Dave? as in Dave and Teddy? I would bet he has 100,000 as he rode his almost every day rain, shine, snow, sleet etc. Cyncyspyder I think was his handle. Haven't heard from him for over a year. I had an 09 RS and still have my 10 RT and between the two only have just over 70,000. Am working on more time in the saddle.
