I was unaware the F3 was not projector style housings. I am no lighting engineer, however it seems that to fully optimize the HID or LED plug ins projector lenses would have been best. Regardless, whatever works safely for everyone is what counts most.
I wonder if the Cyclops 3600 lumen led for non projector housings like on my KTM would be better optimized. That 3600 lumen LED does not use a blade style element, but rather a triangle style element that may provide even better coverage with more output.

Did anyone put the rubber housing that was on the stock bulb and put it around the LED bulb??

No cutting. With the XenonDepot lamps, the rubber cover fits on the lamp body and the heat sink hangs out the rear.
