I was unaware the F3 was not projector style housings. I am no lighting engineer, however it seems that to fully optimize the HID or LED plug ins projector lenses would have been best. Regardless, whatever works safely for everyone is what counts most.

I wonder if the Cyclops 3600 lumen led for non projector housings like on my KTM would be better optimized. That 3600 lumen LED does not use a blade style element, but rather a triangle style element that may provide even better coverage with more output.

    Apologies if I'm thread jacking.

I did use the rubber boot on mine but I have a question.

What at is the proper orientation of the bulb below:

Wire from LED on the top once inserted into the housing OR wire towards the bottom? I've seen two pics on this site both with different orientations.

    Thanks.

    JC,

I just installed LED's from TricLED on my headlights. I am curious as to how you got the wiring in the large rubber boot that goes over the rear of the headlight assembly....did you cut a hole in the side of it for the wiring to come out?

No cutting. With the XenonDepot lamps, the rubber cover fits on the lamp body and the heat sink hangs out the rear.
