    Default LED Signals

I added LED light strips to the top of my mirrors. Work great, but now the signals blink very fast. I've seen posts of others who have done this and this problem was never mentioned. Anyone know what I might have done wrong?

Default These blinkers are a no-brainer

Why blinkers aren't built into mirrors and available as stock is beyond me. A "must have" in my humble opinion. What was Lamont showing, just an LED light strip?

it has to do with LED drawing at a different rate than regular bulbs. Had this issue on my yamaha, You just need a little blinker relay, or switch them all to LED.

    Default Hyper flash LED

Hey guys, you will find many discussions and "fixes" for the hyper flash problem. The issue, as stated, is that Nanny is "looking" for a certain current draw for the signals. To her, too much indicates a short...too little indicates a bulb out. Either causes hyper flash to warn you that something is wrong. The LED bulbs draw considerably less than the OEM halogen bulbs, sooooo...hyper flash! The suppliers will have you add resistance (several recipes available) to mimic OEM draw, and/or circuits that will make your signals flash ALTERNATELY to the rear turn signals to lower the current draw on the system at any one moment. For me: 1) I HATE alternating signals- I think it is confusing to other drivers! 2) One main reason for adding LED's was to reduce current draw so it can be used for other things...like.. a SOUND SYSTEM So it would be counter productive to add a bunch of resistance. If you agree with any of this, do yourself a favor as follows... Amazon has TINY cheap WATERPROOF RELAYS that will take your new LED signals completely out of the monitored system. They fit neatly behind the gauge cluster and react to your turn signals with literally no delay! BOOM! Less current draw, and NO HYPER FLASH!

    ...just sayin

    Default THANKS GUYS!!!

I asked the same question at the local Can Am dealer and he said I needed a resister on each LED strip I added. You would think the service guy would know how to reset the system after adding the LED's .. Thanks again. Don....

After adding LED's to our Mirrors, front fenders and then adding a Big Bike Parts 3 Break light with turn signals, we got the "Hyper-Flash" issue. Just happend upon this thread and tried Lamont's trick and Viola........no more HYPER flash! Thanks to EVERYONE!
