I'm not sure about that; a buddy of mine once had an XLX Sportster, and it lost it's chain out on the four-lane... We found the chain pretty easy, but not the Master Link!

A friend of mine has a Harley bagger he recently took in on a recall because of a defective spring on the saddle bags.it was defective and would fall OFF on the road.

riding hundreds of Patriot Guard missions, with Harleys in the majority, I have stories.

one of them is the kickstand that fell off a Soft Tail I was riding directly behind. bounced and luckily ricosheted off the cement to the side and missed me. it was recovered by a rider behind me and since I carry English/SAE tools and small parts like common bolts/screws/nuts, I was the rider's hero as I was able to reattach at the assembly area.

Here in AZ I ride with several different groups. The HD rides all treat me with respect. I appreciate that and return the same respect to them. I do not like to see any biker have a bike problem.
